My favourite giveaway on the fact they know nothing is the price tags that get thrown around. E.g "40mil price tag slapped on Villa to keep Benteke" then its "25mil", then apparently Spurs are bidding "20mil next week". I bet Spurs don't even make a bid for him.

Remember when Darren Bent handed in a transfer request to AVFC after a first good season? Or when we appointed a terrible manager who nearly relegated us? Me neither. Been treated terribly by the club and now we're gonna pay for it.

Pretty sure he said he wouldn't be going on holiday/would be cracking on with preparing for next season. Can't remember where/when but it wasn't long ago. Hmmm. Did he really say that ?? Seems like we have a very hungry manager. Sure he said it on the Talksport interview he did the other day...

Out of curiosity, what are you basing this on? This is my impression aswell stevo. For me carruthers looked really promising in his few appearances the season before last, and given lamberts approach towards giving the youngsters a chance I was very surprised that he didn't feature at all this year. Seems strange. Made the bench a couple of times didn't he? I know its not much but I don't think Lambert shut him out completely.

The difference is we do seem to have a plan, a foundation and a philosophy now going forwards, whereas the past 2 seasons consisted of making the most out of MON's leftovers with no real direction (although I would've like to have seen how Houllier would've planned out under another season.), plus I really enjoy the playing style we now have, just need to add a few numbers to the defence and tighten up, there's no reason why we couldn't have a decent season next as long as we keep our big players.

Yep that was my worry..really needed city to win today Spurs beating Man City and thus having more reason to try and beat Wigan now is far more important whether we stay up or not... sadly.
