I suffer from sleeping paralysis from time to time so I have occasional run ins with floating spirits, dark presences in the room and a man who's just a black silhouette with red glowing eyes, either choking me, vacuum cleaning my soul all while I'm completely paralyzed unable to move. It's a dream, but my experience is that I'm completely awake when this is happening and I only know that I'm truly awake when my hallucinations and paralysis is gone. Instead of jumping on the ghost train, I did some research and found out it's just a nightmare on steroids. Point being, it might just be all in your head.
