  1. Would K-Mac and Cowans till the end of the season be such a bad shout? At least they'd get the players playing for them.
  2. Can't see him ever making an impact here, one to be sold in the summer IMO.
  3. Wiggyrichard i agree wholeheartedly. Sadly there are a few people who appear to post for the sake of it without adding any value to the topic of discussion. +1 Has to start @Blackburn
  4. What saddened me about yesterday is that is was a chance to get 3 points to push ourselves up the table and away from danger and we didn't even try too. That's what the concern is with Blackburn away, there're more of a goalscoring threat and if we do the same there I can us going down by two or three goals.
  5. I would generally agree but I don't think we can destabilize the team any more than McLeish is.....bringing Heskey on yesterday was just plain bizarre and the players on the pitch must have thought WTF! Yep that was the final straw for me, Im just torn as I'd hate for us to lose our rep as one of the best away supports. Damn you McLeish!
  6. Can't argue with the reasons behind it, Im just in two minds as to whether it would destabilise the team. Once the game is won or lost, after the final whistle and when/if we're mathematically safe then 100% yes but the bigger picture is we have a long of youngsters in the side and they need the encouragement to keep us up.
  7. I was prepared to give him a chance and Ive tried. I don't expect us to play like Barcelona, win every game or even for the manager to like all the players. But I do expect us to have a go. I do expect our manager to make changes if things are'n t working and I do expect our best 11 on the pitch. For those reasons I'm out and McLeish has to go for me. Who next? F**k Knows
  8. Given up predicting but id go with: Given Hutton Collins Cuellar Warnock Gardner Petrov Ireland Agbonlahor Bent Keane
  9. How often do you attend the dressing room meetings? I don't, Ash left his webcam running. It's been acknowledged by many in the press that have an inside line to VP that Stan has been a positive influence holding things together during the managerial changes. See Stany Collymore's tweet about the time to worry is Petrov complains, not N'Zogbia. He's been a very loyal servant for the club and while he's no Iniesta, the abuse he gets on here is hugely ungrateful imo.
  10. Petrov has been a very calming influence in the dressing room as well as on the pitch, there's bigger problems in our midfield than Stan
  11. Just can't see where he's going to get in over Petrov, Ireland, Herd, Clark, Bannan all ahead and Makoun to come back. Get rid and usee fee/wages for back-up on the wings.
  12. Yep agreed Thirded, with Makoun in for Keane next year
  13. You can luck at results both ways, we should have got the 3 points at QPR, Sunderland and 1 against Arsenal but we were lucky at Everton and Chelsea & Wolves imploded against us. One thing in AMC's favour is we've not had the spanking's we had last season which became too regular
  14. This, under 3 managers he's been unable to get in or stay in. I see the point with Collins but he was great for the first 18 months here and has declined whereas Cuellar never hit those heights. Sell & replace both imo
  15. Have to say I can kinda say CI's point in a way. I've battled depression and been suicidal many times as well as losing both parents before the age of 30 (my dad passing 2 weeks ago) and people in the street don't get the same support and help a professional footballer or celebrity would. Having said that though, To go from having 30,000 people chant your name and being a star to go from nothing is as big a culture shock as they come and is something we'll never understand and when your factor in his personal tragedy then it's totally understandable. Ex-pro's need support and it's good to see it in the open but it needs to come from a football/celebrity angle as the man in the street just can't comprehend the battles they face.
  16. Either a shock win or we bow out with our heads held high to a sky4 team and avoid a giantkilling (provided Leeds go out). Can't really lose.
  17. Hopefully we get a nice kind draw in the Fa Cup R3 for his debut.
  18. Still warrants a spot but if his contract end next season then that should be that, need to start scouting NOW for a replacement or groom Herd/Clark in preperation (which he is with Herd to be fair). Would expect Herd maybe to go on loan one Jenas comes back to fitness.
  19. There's a stat in this feature that like last season we're losing more points from winning positions in the top flight again. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15470953.stm Coupled with dodgy defending at set-pieces again I think it's fair to suggest that players are not learning lessons from last season with similar mistakes and should be taking some responsibility especially the senior pros.
  20. Id have Herd back in CM @ sunderland Herd Petrov Agbonlahor Ireland N'Zogbia Bent
  21. And he bloody loved playing at Villa Park!
  22. Hopefully he'll come out and make a statement about how much of a mug he's been and go visit some local schools and explaining what he's done and why kids shouldn't do it.
  23. Problem is we too many attacking cms (Bannan, Ireland and Makoun) one DM (petrov) and one box-to-box (delph) so one of BB, SI and JM will have to be sacrificed for Petrov's competition unless we use Beye's wages when he goes.
