    I was underwhelmed by McCleish but he's here and we need stability and someone who will build the squad up again so keep unless we are in serious danger of relegation.

    Im not excusing AMC completely but we were poor under GH last year and now AMC. Time for some players to step up to the mark, especially the experienced pros.

    Im hoping that once we clear the salaries of the deadwood (Beye etc) off the books then we will strengthen again. Randy has to balance the books which I understand and the team we put out last night SHOULD be competitive, he can't help sub-standard performances.

    Yes, Houllier made a mistake with his team selection, but he played a second string team against Citeh away and they put up just as good a show as McLeish's first XI against Bolton at home!! I am not a Houllier fan. I just think McLeish is pants! :winkold: Doesn't that say as much as the players that played last night? They're professionals and should know the standard required and that they're falling way below that standard.

    Martinez would be the wrong appointment, we can't afford to take gambles and Martinez has done nothing to prove he deserves a club challenging for Europe. Would take Benitez, Jol and McClaren over him.

    IF GH is to be replaced, Lerner has a golden opportunity to get a big-name in to help everybody move on from this disappointing season. Get him in if possible to parade before Liverpool and then he has pre-season to get us in shape. Would be a nice touch if GH got the chance to say goodbye too as whatever people think he didn't have to take this job with his health

    Personally Im giving him the preseason and summer window and then see how things bed down first half on next season. If we're not at least top 8 aproaching Christmas with the financial backing of two windows then his time will be surely up.

    People keep mentioning the 8-1 result to boro, then surely he's only one goal worse than MON? How about Sven's 5-1 win in Munich? Point is any freak result can skew a manager's rep.

    Id jump on the Koeman bandwagon too. Only really failed at Valencia but still lifted the Spanish cup and takes Europe seriously (key factor in attracting players to take us to the mystical next level).
