Just incredible. Lionel Messi has scored as many goals in his last 7 games as Fernando Torres (3 in 36), Andy Carroll (5 in 31) and Luis Suarez (10 in 36) have in a combined 103 league matches.

He'll be on 140k a week by the time another 10 pages are added in this thread, seems to go up every other page. He has been one of the very few bright sparks this season. He is quite obviously a highly intelligent player who has been at the centre of most of our good play this season, why the **** do people want to get rid of him?! Too many people made up their minds last season when lets face it he wasn't given a fair go at all by Houllier was he?

Next FA Cup weekend is the semi finals and we are playing Manure anyway. Coincidentally, Bolton were due to play Spurs in the league that weekend. I imagine their FA cup game from yesterday will be played midweek after this so around the 27th/28th (when the Everton/Sunderland replay is). Our game with Bolton could then take place the following midweek but I would think that is unlikely as it precedes Easter weekend when both teams already have two games in 48 hours. I would imagine that this game will e rescheduled for later on in April on another midweek night.

I think that's standard for that age player but I'm not entirely sure.

I can't agree with that. I thought Ireland was our best attacking player by a long chalk on Saturday (gave motm to Herd though).

He has been so good lately, and I like that he is getting stuck in to tackles more too. There were several moments in the game where he was chasing back and harassing their players which isn't his natural game so pleased he is doing it.

I think he has been great in the last 4 games now and if he keeps it up I'll be happy to have a large slice of humble pie.

He was very good yesterday, despite being double marked. Love his link up play with Ireland and they look like they enjoy playing together. Get Makoun back to join them.
