In the Sun where they talk about him being offered a new deal. Regardless of how much of a **** ridiculous decision it would be to move another winger into the centre (he was poor there vs Blues/Wigan - i think it was one of them he was there for). I guess this means we will almost definitely be getting atleast another winger in [unless they plan on playing all lopsided] Obviously I'd prefer us to buy another striker or 'in the hole' player, but in a worst case scenario (injuries etc) I still think Downing could do a job in the centre if he learnt the role a bit more. He does have a cracking long range shot on him and is comfortable on the ball in most situations. He hasn't looked amazing there this season but if we had no strikers available, I wouldn't mind Downing playing in Ash's favourite role.

Unfortunatly that would be my answer too TUS! Get in there a couple of times then say.... 'we shouldn't be doing this'. Then leave, knowing you've won 8)

We've never beaten Wigan at home, so this season is irrelevent. Football isn't as simple as 'we're higher than them so we'll definatly win'. I'm going to match Lawro's prediction. 2-1 Villa!

I spoke to a right wally earlier. I work in a bank and obviously, we can only give out account details to people who can answer security questions over the phone. I spoke to an elderly sounding man earlier Today and because I couldn't identify him, I had to explain that I couldn't give him any details to do with the account. He then reeled out this nonsense about "This is why this countries going to pot!" Yup.. This countries going to pot because you CAN'T be given account details to do with an account that you have nothing to do with.

I work with a couple of hot Indian girls. I would! I know that some are more religious/ traditional and others arent. If I was to get involved with an Indian girl, I'd make use she came from a family that wasn't the hardcore religious type. I wouldn't feel comfortable getting myself into that, I don't think.

He's shown glimpses, but he's been talked up A LOT. MON was meant to really rate him. But then when MON left and KMac took over, he played Wiemann instead - it was said that Delfouneso thought very highly of himself. He's got more natural footballing ability than Gabby, has a good burst of acceleration to get himself past a man - but his downfall could be his attitude. I really hope he lives up to his hype, it'd be nice to have a ready-made Carew replacement in our ranks!

I've never used one. I'm only young and I think they're stereotypically used by older people. If I was lonely or finding myself in situations like you describe pieface, I don't think I'd be opposed to using one. Though I probably would be embarrassed to mention it to real life mates.

I hope we see a few appearances from him next season in the first team. Though he hasn't been amazing whenever he'd played for us, he clearly has an eye for goal and talent on the ball. I remember in our 6-0 (or whatever the result was) loss to Chelsea last season, he had a mazy run around a few players only to hit the post/ crossbar/ force a good save from Cech.

This. Hopefully he can become a success at Villa under Mark Hughes. Same for Stephen Warnock. After what Stephen Warnock has supposedly said about Villa, I can safely say I'd much prefer to have another poor season with Houllier than have that idiot play for us again. Ireland.. I dunno. He said some things about the city of Birmingham, but that doesn't bother me. If he can come back and perform well, under Houllier or another manager, then I won't mind him getting back into the team.

I've never had electric shock-type pains. I do get a pain in both of my ankles whenever I run though. I tend to wear an ankle support on each ankle, every time I run. I went to the doctors last year to get an x-ray, but never went back to get the results :oops: My uncle says I should go to one of those foot-specialists to see if I'm walking incorrectly.

sorry pal but that is absolute nonsense. he broke the line countless times today and looked dangerous and drew the red card from scharner with some good movement. was infintely better than NRC. also might have had a couple of assists if Gabby didn't hide behind defenders when balls come into box. I agree with OBE. I also don't think that Petrov can be congratulated for getting Scharner sent off. All he did was recieved the ball and started to run. Even Pires could have done that.

We've rarely taken advantage of a 10-man team in the past few years though. Having 10 men seems to give the opposition the push to try harder. Just seen Ash's freekick. What a **** piece of shit. I HOPE he leaves at the end of the season.

I'd love to see Delph for Petrov now, but I worry that we might be too weak in the middle of the pitch.
