  1. I reckon we'll see movement Today (in OR out). It's my day off, so something is bound to happen!
  2. Nope! Ours is the best, obviously! That long sleeved home top is nice, I may have to get that one
  3. 12 months ago at my work, someone smeared shit all over the walls of one of the cubicals. The manager was so outraged that he asked every staff member, one by one, to go into the cubical to have a look. I refused. I'm not a 5-year-old that needs to be shown NOT to do that.
  4. Well actually with the predominance of tagless boxers these days, it is quite easy to put your underwear on backwards, I do it all the time and hardly ever notice. I did it yesterday and didn't notice until I had to un-button to take a dump.
  5. My mate at work said that he saw quotes from Lambert last night saying that Clark is going to be his first choice centreback. Is he talking bullshit? I haven't seen any quotes?
  6. I get the feeling that Lowton may be given a fair amount of games. I dont think Lambert would bring in a 'backup rightback' when we have Lichaj and Herd (who can play at RB) behind Hutton already, unless Lambert doesn't rate Lichaj or Herd at RB.
  7. I'd rather that too, but there aren't just two options in football. I'm sure there were occasions when he could have held onto the ball for a few seconds, or he could have picked out a player that would have put us in a better position. I'm sure, if I got a recording of that game, I would see why I came away from the game thinking 'Clark looks like a good player. BUT he did get rid of the ball as soon as he could/ played everything simple/ passed the responsibility to the more experienced players at every opportunity'. I don't see how that makes no sense SIT? A defenders job isn't simple to tackle and pass the ball. Defenders can hold onto the ball, pass the ball forward & even take the ball forward if it helps the team.
  8. in fairness i could have played vs fulham that day So why didn't you? The reason his performance was good that day was his awareness, i remember ball being pumped up the top, instead of doing what Collins and Dunne do, which is to head it straight back, he bought it down and started again, he did the same against WHU, but no doubt you'll say you could have played in that too! My main memory of Clark playing against Fulham was that he was good, but he did everything possible to keep his duties to a minimum. I'm not criticising him for it, if I was a young centre back, I would have done the same. But whenever he did get the ball, he simply played a short pass to someone else, who was then entrusted with getting the ball forward or wide to another player. I imagine MON had told him to play that way tbh. That said, I'd like it if he was one of our two central defenders this season.
  9. Fallen club ? From where this is Proberley there most sustained time in the top flight Big club ? Since when Does CI stand for clueless idiot ? Harsh.
  10. We should have bought him in 2004 when he scored 41 goals in 19 games  :winkold:
  11. I suppose it's a bit of a filler, isn't it? Like erm, um or y'know. It is bad, I agree, and I admit to being guilty of all three at times (the last of which is most shameful and another thing to blame on Blair). I'm sure I posted this in 'Annoying things.... thread V1', but there's a woman I work with that says 'Sort of' about 3 times per sentance, but she's managed to change it into 1 word: Sutuf. She does my head in. "He sutuf complained because we sutuf lost his documents but he sutuf didn't know where he sent them in the first place, sutuf, so I, sutuf, couldn't help him". What's worse, is that we're moving desks next week and I now have to sit opposite her :| What will I dislike more? Her babbling nonsense out of her idiot mouth, or my current seat where my hands are frozen solid every day because I sit in direct line of the air conditioner which is keeping the fatties opposite cool?
  12. The picture/ stream quality is usually pretty good Villanonsea. The coverage usually just stops in the break between halfs, and it will probably be without commentary or commentated by Jack Woodward.
  13. Justified, how does 'once making a mistake and lying your way out of it' make him a 'nut job', as you call him? I also don't understand how you came to the conclusion that he's not 'all there' and undependable? :? Or is that all down to that one mistake that he made yonks ago? :? As for him being lazy. I don't attend training, but from what I've heard, I think you're completely wrong on that one. He's often described as the best trainer at the club, and after a period of around 4 months where his performances were questionable, he has tried extremely hard in every game he's played for us.
  14. I'm glad he's got a long contract, I think he'll do well under Lambert. Say what you want about his first touch and his short passing, he WAS hampered by playing in a defensive role. 2 years ago he put in some decent performances but was again halted by injury. You can't conpletely lose your abilities by picking up a few niggles. Before he was injured, I remember a number of games where he was the only player on the team with the will & confidence to run at the opposition. We need players like that. I reckon we'll see him feature this year, hopefully alongside someone like KEA, who can let him attack.
  15. Bazmonkey, I fully believe that what your mates Mrs heard is what she was told. But I just don't believe it's the truth. I remember Milner being interviewed at the World Cup, and I remember thinking how he wouldn't go anywhere near the subject of committing himself to Villa. I remember the interview of him in his car outside Bodymoor Heath. He said something like "I'm sad to leave, but this is too good an opportunity". If he didn't want to go, he wouldn't have. It's as simple as that.
  16. MysteryMan! Any news? Also, Richard, you asked a question over the weekend 'Another deal early/mid next week?'..... What do you know? :winkold:
  17. So it's not because he's not Lamberts style? He's not a superstar because the media doesn't dictate that he is. As for the massive fee? Well, we've yet to see Man City's acumen there. They WILL have to start shedding some of their earlier purchases soon and Jimmy could well be one of them. Where does he fit in now? Believe me, that kid will need to play football. The wages? Well he would automatically be our best player, by a long, long distance. So yeah, he'll be worth it. It's never gonna happen.... but I'll join in The problem with the idea of Milner coming back is that Man City, more than likely, don't want/ need to sell him. When they sold Dunne to us and gave us Ireland as a swapsie, they wanted to get rid of them. When the issue of wages was brought up, Man City agreed to pay a certain percentage (or a pay off) and this caused a delay in the transfer but, ultimately, allowed us to sign them on a wage we could afford. In Jimmy's case; they have money to burn and I'm sure they'd be more than happy to keep him as a backup-backup-bench-warmer. If we managed to offer a sum that they accepted, and Milner did strangely want to leave the League Winners, would he accept a much lower wage without Man City chipping in?
  18. I disagree. By this logic, you think that Dunne is highly respected in the squad and that he'll be listened to at all times? I don't think so. A lot of what we hear is rumours, but we've definatly heard of arguments in the squad/ club with Dunne (team bonding session?) I think the players will respect someone who is often described as having the 'best technical ability at the club' and someone who tries hard every game and, supposedly, every training session. Not to mention the fact that Dunne is often quiet on the pitch. Aside from the obvious (and sometimes pointless) shouts of 'he's lazy', 'he messed around his country', 'he smoked a shisha pipe' & 'he likes flash cars' - I can't see any decent reasons why Ireland wouldn't be a good captain. He knows the league, he's not a brand new player, he speaks English, he knows the team, he tries hard & on his day he is unbeatable (of course, on days when he's not unbeatable, he might just help spur the team on with his words. But that's what you want from the captain on the pitch).
  19. I think he'll do alright BJ10, there will be a time and a place for his ability and I think Lamberts rotation policy will give him a good chance to prove himself in a team/tactic that plays to his strengths.
  20. You just realised that now? You honestly talk some absolute cack. I must not have realised whatever is seemingly obvious to you because I'd have Sturridge. Him and Bent upfront would be excellent. He's like a left footed Gabby but with a footballing brain and ability to go with it (and a, sometimes unhealthy, dollop of arrogance on top!)
  21. Yeah , never mind. Maybe 3rd time lucky eh? If you give an infinate number of monkeys typewriters one of them will eventually type out the correct name of our next signing. Actually, they would instantly type out the name of every correct signing every club will ever make. Personally, I doubt they would!
  22. Not to mention that there are abuot 10-too-many syllables in that whole chant!!!
  23. What's with Sheffield United and churning out promising rightbacks? Is their whole management and backroom staff made up of former players who all played at rightback?
  24. To be fair to Wiz, he said "a few". Out of the hundreds of people who have left Norwich over their complete history.... a few have regretted it :winkold:
