    Sneakers

I’ve got a pair similar, but a bit more desert boot than trainer. They are ace.
  2. Looking a that list Vs the MCU just makes me sad. I’d probably just about take Suicide Squad over Iron Man 2 and that’s it. Maybe WW over Thor 2 as well at a push. I’m looking forward to seeing the ‘Snyder Cut’ of Justice League, it looks pretty good, but it’s not going to undo the mess they made of this ‘universe’. Growing up I was always DC over Marvel and the Nolan Batman trilogy remains undefeated IMO, but they couldn’t have done any worse with the DCU if they tried.
  3. Just ‘Sold’ ours again for the 2nd time in 12 months, but can’t find an upgrade that works for us and it’s proper slim pickings. I absolutely hate the whole thing. Dealing with agents, having to speak to other people, going round looking at houses - it’s all proper shite.

    Sneakers

These would be worth about £6-7k now if I hadn’t worn them. Possibly more.
  5. I really enjoyed the first two episodes, but I’d imagine it’s going to be quite polarising. My wife hated it and got up half way through episode 2. I thought Bettany and Olsen were excellent. They mix elements of mania and confusion into their performances really well, underneath the over-the-top sitcom caricatures. I agree on the humour, it isn’t particularly funny despite the delivery being good, but I think it’s deliberate? The jokes are a bit too obvious, the characters a bit too over the top, even the canned laughter seems a bit too loud to me. Deliberate or not, it adds to it when I’m trying to see the show through the perspective of Wanda’s mind. I think it’s more enjoyable if you know a bit about the character in the comics and where it’s heading movie-wise in terms of Dr Strange and Spider-Man 3. Enjoyed looking for the Easter eggs too and looking forward to episode 3.
  6. Mine would be: 1. IW 2. End Game 3. Ragnarok 4. Civil War 5. GOTG
  7. Deadpool 3 confirmed to be in the Marvel universe and will be ‘R’ rated.
  8. That’s why it’s so fecking good. A lot of people will be like ‘eh Golf - who cares’, but he will be absolutely raging over it
  9. AP are reporting that not only is the 2022 PGA championship being taken away, they are instigating a lifetime ban on any Trump course being used for a PGA event. Might not seem like a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but this will hurt both his pride and his finances Assume the Euro Tour will follow, which means he’ll never get the open at his course in Aberdeen.
  10. Some very promising early reactions to Wandavision, with 3 episodes released to critics. The best comment I’ve read is ‘Wandavison looks like if David Lynch made a superhero sitcom’ Apparently very funny, weird and mysterious. Rave reviews for Olsen and Bettany. Can’t wait.
  11. We watched this a couple of weeks back and it was a pretty surreal experience given the state of the world right now.
  12. Yeah there’s talk of HBO Max picking it up for the third series. Fingers crossed.
  13. ‘Biting the pillow’ is on the list of exemptions, along with hunting.
  14. Given how absolutely shite the Apple TV UI is, I’m surprised subscribers could even find it!

    Memory Lane

I had that, it was ace.
  16. He’s had three hamstring issues, this being the 3rd. Worryingly, he has been out quite a while each time.
  17. Just watched Hitsville: The Making Of Mowtown on Sky Docs. It’s excellent.
  18. No. I don’t think they’ll ever get clearance for that early stuff! The ABBA sample story is great though! It’s just the ‘hits’ from 1988-91 at the moment.
  19. Happy New Year VT. The KLF have officially released some of their back catalogue onto streaming platforms, so we are already up on last year, although I fear this might be the peak. McGrath bless, I hope you all have a good one. What a time to be alive eh? They said Tammy, stand by the Jams
  20. No, but it’s on my list and it’s getting good reviews. Looks decent.
  21. Agreed. I thought it was decent, nothing more. There were some funny lines here and there, but the gags were generally hit and miss. Diane Morgan’s ‘average citizen’ character was particularly disappointing.
  22. I don’t know what it was supposed to be? It looked gorgeous and there were a couple of decent scenes, but overall I just couldn’t see what they were going for. It was neither here nor there and there was no real reason to invest in, or care about the characters, despite Clooney turning in a decent performance.
