  1. Emirates is the best modern stadium but although its a dive there's something about the Nou Camp, a real sense of awe when you walk out the tunnel
  2. Away against a top 6 team -------------------Guzan--------------------- --------Okores--Vlaar--Senderos------- Hutton--------Sanchez--------Cissokho -----------Westwood--Delph------------- -----------------Cleverley------------------- ------------------Benteke-------------------
  3. Not straight away but by the end of the season ----------------Guzan---------------- Hutton--Okore--Vlaar--Cissokho ---------Sanchez--Delph----------- -Nzogbia--Cleverley--Grealish- ---------------Benteke---------------
  4. Am i the only 1 who thinks everyone going a bit OTT with the reaction from the comments I dont think Lamberts really added anything that we didnt already know
  5. Jenkinson wouldnt be a bad signing for us, surely he has no future at arsenal now
  6. If Spurs are serious abour Vlaar i'd want both Dawson and Capoue in exchange Dawson isnt brilliant but he's not as bad as some are making out and would be a leader and Capoue would be a big improvement in centre mid Would probably improve us overall and Spurs would be happy to get both players off the wage bill
  7. Not sure of the FFP rules but if city owned the homes could they rent them out and use the income as a way of helping to get around it?
  8. Hodgson couldn't take Terry. He's retired from international football. There was a lot of rumours in the months before the world cup that Terry was willing to come out of international retirement and if i remember correctly Hodgson quick came out and said he wasnt willing to take him
  9. We've conceded too many sloppy goals and defended poorly simple as, which is a shame coz the kids have looked quite good going forward As much as i hate John Terry i think Hodgson made a massive mistake not taking him and Ashley Cole He should of played Cahill and Terry as centre halves and Cole at left back, 3 Chelsea players together would have made us a lot more solid and would also leave the option of playing Jagielka as a right back if Johnson's form didnt improve
  10. The truth is overall there's not a lot in it but Senderos and Cole will be on half the wages
  11. they still have to pay 50mill and a reduced squad size. I also didnt realize until yesterday that the fine's payable over 3 years and if city meet FFP rules next summer they only have to pay 1 year of the fine so it may only end up costing them around £17 million
  12. Also Dzeko, Ronaldo, Etoo and Mandzukic in a seperate accumilator 299/1 I definately think the individual teams top scorers is one of the best things to bet on at this world cup
  13. I've had Neymar, Drogba, Lukaku, Jackson Martinez and Alexis Sanchez in an accumilator to finish as their respective countries top scorers 2465/1 lol
  14. A gamble worth taking IMO If it doesn't work it hasn't cost us a lot of money If he stays fit and plays well he's the kind of player we've been crying out for and would become a huge fans favourite
  15. Just when you thought it couldnt get any worse....
  16. Im not saying a deal is close but i definitely think somethings in the pipeline When Pat Murphy asks the question 'did you ask Randy Lerner in New York if a deal was imminent' Lambert acts all coy and doesnt really answer the question
  17. Waiting until after the final game of the season to issue the statement was the right thing to do but i really hope Randy's been working on the sale behind the scenes for the last few weeks/months If not and the process really does start today then we're in for another season of struggle because to find a buyer, then complete the sale, then possibly find and appoint another manager, who then has to assess the squad and then make signings is a LOT to fit into 1 summer The statement from General Krulak is just strange
  18. I havent agreed with a lot of your posts regarding FFP over the last few months but this is spot on I think everyone agrees that something had to be done to prevent whats happened to Portsmouth and Leeds happening again but UEFA didnt go the right way about doing it
  19. Theres no way i would ever want Villa to move to the NEC as its away from the clubs roots and on the edge of the city but there's a huge difference in revenue between a new 55,000 stadium there with all the infastructure you could build similar to what Man City are doing and simply redeveloping Villa Park to 55,000 Like i said though, i would never want Villa to move as far away as the NEC, a new stadium on the site close to the new HS2 terminal as mentioned in other threads before however i would be in favour of as it could be the difference in taking our club to the next level and helping us compete with the elite clubs
  20. They'll do everything they can to keep Micah Richards now as he's a homegrown player
