  1. Sounds like his cancer could have been caused by his location where he grew up. Chernobyl disaster gave football star Stiliyan Petrov cancer, claims Bulgarian doctor
  2. Clark I'd say is more a technical defender, playing in midfield will and has likely improved his overall game. Baker looks like a proper old fashioned center back. Both should have a role to play in the squad over the next year and beyond hopefully.
  3. Like the look of Carruthers from what I've seen in the reserves and Nextgen. Tidy player. You can tell he's come from Arsenal, got some silky skills and goes down easily. Saying that, I think that was more of a penalty than any of Liverpool's claims.
  4. Considering most people think McLeish is full of shit, that might not be such a bad thing.
  5. Credit where it is due today Eck, got the tactics right with such a threadbare squad. Lets the end the season on a high now, I'd love to finish above the Stokies.
  6. The managers gonna keep his job, to be fair, one thing he ain't terrible at is making signings. Heres Collymore's tweet;
  7. Happy with the point, would have snapped hand off before hand. Liverpool played well, and our young lads and experienced lads did well to get the point. Started game very well. Collins was colossus today.
  8. Absolute shambles! Give the man a contract for pity sake.
  9. God forbid he was stupid enough to appoint McLeish, so that wouldn't be such a farfetched idea . I know but I am hoping that he wouldn't be so stupid twice in such a short space of time! Houllier (dodgy ticker, out of football for years) and McLeish (rival manager, relegations galore). It sure can happen dude  .
  10. God forbid he was stupid enough to appoint McLeish, so that wouldn't be such a farfetched idea .
  11. Didn't work for Hull, Newcastle in recent seasons either. I think we'd be more at risk if we sack him now, than if we kept him for the next month. The players could do with the continuity imo, especially with the whole Petrov thing. Too many sudden changes at Villa these past 2 years have affected us clearly.
  12. I'd say 3 or 1, as much as we don't like McLeish, I think some of the players do. Don't think we should do a Wolves and sack him now only to bring in someone who is around the first team squad all the time, like Wolves did too. I recon we'll stay up, but the manner how we stay up in the next few games should seal McLeish fate. Though it may not, I'd like to think the board would think that, I would hope they'd think like that. This sort of time in a season, unless completely safe, is a terrible time to be sacking managers
  13. I'd snap your hand off for a point at Anfield right now. I think they'll be looking to inflict some serious damage on Saturday after their recent slump!
  14. He's gonna be here next season, think only a relegation will change that. They have been clearly planning for next season for a few months now. The fact he's already signed a player for next season has to be the nailing in the coffin to people who think he'll be gone soon. Our scouts have been hard at work by the looks too, setting up short lists of players to sign this summer. I don't think we are going to get what we wish for here, well not this year. As we are in a bit of a pickle now, I think we should show good support over the next 8 games to the team on the pitch. They'll need it, especially with the amount of inexperience in our squad right now.
  15. I wish he'd speak to us fans! It's not like he is not around. He's really f**ked us over this season and kept very quiet. If he wants to sell some more season tickets, he could do with convincing the fans to buy them. Not many people are so convinced it seems. His puppets Faulkner and McLeish are struggling to put his plans across to us, apart from the clear "cost cutting" one.
  16. I think Warnock has been decent this past month or so. Mass humiliation from the fans vs QPR has seemingly helped him out a bit. I hope to god Hutton doesn't come in for Lichaj at right back. Lichaj has been very good most times I've seen in play. Hutton is a ticking time bomb, ready for a big mistake or the red mist.
  17. N'Zogbia is in contention to play in the easter fixtures this weekend according to McLeish, also Jermaine Jenas could still make his return to the first team this season.
  18. So have we won the reserve league south then now BOF or nearly?
  19. Remember when McLeish said he wanted to at least match last seasons position when he came here. No chance that is going to happen, instead the predictable has happened. He should go at the end of the season, he is way below his own aims and the clubs aims for the season (Faulkner even said Europe was an aim before the Spurs game).
  20. Most of this season we've had pretty much a full squad, we should be on more than 33 points by now really with a decent manager. Poor excuses. At the end of the season, things at the top have to change, but I think the chances of it happening are very slim.
  21. Bossing it at the moment. Liverpool TV coverage much better, has more angles and replays. Warnocks been talking about the players that have impressed in first team training. Think AVTV's coverage is been done on someones phone camera.
  22. You can watch the Villa vs Liverpool reserves game on AVTV or on Liverpool TV. Stephen Warnock is commentating for LFCTV. Starts at 7pm. Heres the stream; http://www.vipbox.tv/watch/44227/1/aston-villa-res-vs-liverpool-res-live-stream-online.html
  23. Randy I bloody well hope your planning the departure of Alex McLeish already, if not, I bloody well hope you have are opening your cheque book to bring in quality players, and a few of them!
  24. Jog on McLeish . VillaRoy (Roy) (This won't work.)
