  1. The language barrier became apparent when a group of Norwegian VTers decided to go on a camping trip following JohnCresswells comments in the latest Ellis-thread.
  2. Long-time VTer comments on DOL's chance of making a good managerial decision
  3. Can't get more scientific then a poll on the internet 8)
  4. Perhaps you should wait a couple of extra days. Asking right after we've won a derby might give a whole lot more of "No"
  5. I'm sort of jumping into the thread here without reading any of the earlier post, but TRL, just hit print screen on the keyboard, load up paint and paste it. Save as .jgp
  6. But why should it be fair when nothing else is? Atleast if it's up to a ref to decide there will be some errors to cancel out predictability. The goals you remember are the great ones and the unfair ones. It creates discussion and lights passion. If it goes further you'll take away one good reason to passionatly hate Steve Bruce, although I'm sure we'll all manage fine. Maybe I'm going about it the wong way, but I like that fact that sometimes is goes our way and sometimes it don't. I just wish they would stop favouring Manchester United.
  7. One of the many charming factors of football is crappy refs, is it not?
  8. Bolton don't even try to play football. They try to break the game down into something it's not. Did you see Diouf yesterday? Not once did he try to cross the ball in, he just kicked it in the feet of the defenders hopeing for a throw-in or a corner. I don't want to see any team play like that and especially not Villa.
  9. Maybe this is a brilliant plan from the manager to ensure the defenders hit the right players when they hoof the ball 50 yards into the unknown
  10. The first time I saw Sigur Ros was at an outdoor festival. They played as first band at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and the rain was coming down like crazy. This was a very long time ago, before the time they started playing warm-up for Radiohead, so few knew about them. And becouse of the bad weather it was a whooping total of 8 people at the concert. The concert area could hold up to something like 20,000 pleople. They still played for over an hour though, and it was amazing.
  11. £m spent in 2003 and 2004 Tottenham 28.8 Birmingham 24.1 Southampton 18.4 Newcastle 18.1 Blackburn 17.7 Man City 17.3 WBA 13.9 Middlesbrough 13.2 Portsmouth 11.6 Aston Villa 10.7 Charlton 10.7 Everton 9.8 Fulham 7.9 Bolton 2.6 Nb! This dosen't include the last year, so if you consider our significant net spend of £1.5m since january, I think we'll fall even further down. In that list only Newcastle and Man City had more attedances than Villa.
  12. We'll proberbly get him just before the window closes. That way DOL can keep on using the "needs a full pre-season"-excuse.
  13. Considering his bad form the last 12 months I can't see Angel scoring more than five goals from his midfield position, so I voted for Phillips

    Are You ?

Definatly pesimistic. But it won't take much to bring me back to the other side. If Laursen gets fit and we sign a decent striker, I think it will be a good season (top half).
  15. As far as I can see there's no R in Cahill.

    Blur Vs Oasis

Although I'm no huge fan, it's Blur for me. I think Oasis' music is boring and I'll rather listen to The Beatles.
  17. Even if communism is on the left side, far left dosen't always mean communist. I just don't like capitalism and so called democracy.
  18. £3-5 mill. We'll proberbly miss out on Parker and Bellamy and end with Phillips, a loanee/freebie and someone like Vignal.
  19. I want Hughes. I'd take Bellamy for £2mill, but I fear we're talking about three times as much money :/
  20. I voted no becouse I don't think he is good enough. He is gifed with good teqnique all over and has mental strength, but he lacks pace, which is very important for a winger. I think he can improve alot, cos along with Laursen, he has been our best player the last couple of months. Btw, somehow I think he will fit better into the center of the pitch.
  21. None of the above, but I really look forward to Yimou Zhangs next film. I hate Star Wars. The old ones were okay I thought, but the new ones are awful. A 10-year old could write better dialogues. I guess Hitchhaiker's Guide would be cool to see. I love the books, but I remeber being very disapointed after seing the BBC mini-serie.
  22. You might say its all bla bla bla and no plot at all?

    If....

I've heard that he's there to act in a new movie called Leg Affair XI - starring: Robbie Chavange, BigBoy Boateng and Deadly Doug.
