  1. I love this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PwRhnZbSdvs. Hope it fits this threads description..?
  2. Are there other features than just streaming and playing the songs you pick? I.e. are there recommendations, similar artists and stuff like that?
  3. When James Milner was a teenager he had to listen to Kylie Minogue every evening, but he quickly shut her up with some hard persuasion and a gag.
  4. When James Milner was 12 years old a Terminator sent from the future tried to kill him. Since then Milner has been very sceptical of Sir Alex Ferguson.
  5. Mentioned on Mythbusters so some might have heard it before: If the Eiffel Tower was placed in an air cylinder, its weight would not be more than that of the air cylinder. The weight of the tower is 10,100 tonnes compared to 10,265 tonnes of air.
  6. Sure if it's right then and there. You hit the ball and it bounces of the post. Of course it's not on target, but that is not relevant in my opinion. Match stats and shots on/off goal are reported to give people a fair idea of what has happened in the game. If you count shots that hit the woodwork as off target then the data will not reflect what actually happened.
  7. :? the objective of the game is to get the ball between the 3 white sticks, not hit them. The "target" being to score a goal in the net, not hit the 3 white sticks. Quite simply therefore, hitting the white stciks is Off Target, unless you are specifically playing a different game, as on Soccer AM, such as the crossbar challenge. It's a complete no brainer, IMHO. The only grey are comes when you hit a white stick and in, but again this is clear, as the ball has eventually hit the target (the net) unimpeded. Of course, I agree with everything you said. I'm not arguing any of that, but you clearly didn't consider the point I was making.
  8. It's on target for me. I think Pelle has a good point. Whether it's on or off is only relevant to match stats, and to reflect a more true image of what has happened a shot that hit the woodwork should be counted as on target. I.e. in our 2-2 game against Arsenal shots on goal was 6-3, but that doesn't reflect what actually happened in the game unless you include the shots that hit the woodwork.
  9. Seen both so I obviously voted The Wire

    Thanks

I'm also pleased and happy Anyways, I enjoyed reading that.
  11. Why do most of the Russian players look like teenagers?
  12. Is it a coincidence that tit and boob is spelled the same backwards as forwards, or is there something else going on?
  13. You're correct of course. According to TV.com he first use the phrase in the third episode of the first season. I don't know why but I'm slightly disappointed by that.
  14. Hmm. I don't know, but that's a good point. The episode I was talking about was aired in 1996 I think. Edit: make that fall of 95
  15. Mr. Burns catchphrase "Excellent" comes from Seinfeld. Well, I don't know for sure as it might just be a coincidence, but in the episode The Engagement when Elaine, Newman and Kramer plots to kidnap a dog, Newman says "Excellent" twice in the exact, evil kinda way as Burns does in The Simpsons.
  16. The first ever recorded supernova dates back to 1054, witnessed and noted by both Chinese and Arab astronomers. For about a month it was the brightest object in the sky, aside from our sun and moon. 700 years later the English astronomer John Bevis observed it's remnants, and 100 years later it was referred to as the crab nebula. It's one of the most stunning nebula's, and the reason is that it's still expanding quickly and in it's center there's believed to be a pulsar that rotates over 30 times every second and emits enormous amounts of radiation. Images can be seen here
  17. I'm just repeating what I saw on a documentary eons ago, but yeah, I think I screwed this one up a little bit It does reflects light in the visible spectrum, but that a very small part of the electromagnetic spectrum. So it does absorbs the heat, but light is reflected, and like you said that's why the fur appears white even though it's transparent and the skin underneath is black. Excuse me for my stupidity and for messing up of the thread
  18. Okay, my comment was slighly inaccurate, but you said it a way that sounded like that was the main feature of the fur (to reflect light), but the main feature, aside from the more obvious reasons, is that it's transparent and reflects very little light. Snow and ice reflect around 90% of the light while the polar bears fur only reflects 5%, meaning the skin will absorb heat very effectivel.
  19. It doesn't reflect light, that's the point. If it did they would freeze. The have dark skin underneath the fur and if I remember correctly more than 95% of the light goes right through the fur and warms the skin up. In the summer they actually take dips in the water to cool down.
  20. When things were reveled in X-files it was in a cryptic way. You would still wonder and want a more definitive end to it. Then you had the monster of the week episodes, or what you call them, and there were more of them then episodes relevant to the storyline.
