    The whole lion thing is interesting. It’s not really something I associate with Villa & its identity. For me it goes name, colours, ground, then badge. We don’t even sing about being lions. I remember the “come on you lions” chant but I don’t think I’ve heard that in 20 years. And then there’s the very occasional “keep the lion flag flying” but that’s only really reserved for when we’re shit/lost a cup final. Not saying we should get rid of the lion but it’s kinda just there.

    Feels to me like the purpose of these meetings may have run their course. There's no discussion just small leaks/snippets of what they've already decided to. It all just seems very cynical.

    I buy my season ticket & that's it. Never buy a shirt or any other merch. I used to have a pint at HT and a few after the game in the Holte Suite but that's not happening any more. Apart from an emergency pie if I'm starving they'll be getting nothing else out of me.

    I am just so **** bored by the Panthers. One year above .500 in 7 years. I know it takes time with a rookie QB but everything is just so anaemic and has been for years.

    Yeah I didn't even celebrate the Diaby goal because it just looked off. Do think we need a dedicated area for fans wanting to make atmosphere.

    Reminded me of Benteke vs Norwich (2014). We were 1-0 down in that game too and it took something special for us to get back into it. What a **** strike.

    Strange. I still think they're missing a trick by not evening out the 6pm and 9pm games. Surely the viewership falls off massively when there's only a few games in the late window.

    I can't see him not playing. I think yesterday's top 6 will start the first game in the world cup vs NZ.

    Been a weird series really - no close games, every one has been a blowout that has gone either way. Malan is in some nick, such an excellent ODI player.

    Who are the five better than him? Mahomes Hurts Burrow The only other two who could possibly be in that top five is Herbert and Lawrence. I think Allen is better than both of those and I'd probably take him over Burrow too.

    There's starting to be more of this but it's not too often & it is generally pre-planned. Everything is at full speed in each play so it's a lot harder to do.

    Brian Burns about to have the Panthers' pants down. Should've signed him to a new deal months ago, or traded him when the two firsts were offered. We've done neither.

    If you're doing the Llanberis path I did it in a pair of trainers. I thought the first mile or so was the hardest, after that the majority is a slow incline. Take some high factor suncream and apply it regularly because it might not feel warm halfway up if it gets a bit windy but you'll be ravaged by the sun (I found out the hard way). Take some snacks and a big bottle of water- there's only a hut halfway up and at the top.

    He's shown he can be a relatively safe pair of hands under very good OCs but he is pretty limited. Panthers missed out on Ben Johnson last season as he opted to stay, can't imagine him not being a HC this time next year.

    Taps in the toilets at the entrance for K1/K2/K3 not working. Really nice to go for a piss and not to be able to wash your hands.

    Really enjoyed The Power Of Parker on iPlayer. Surprised it's only scored 6.7 on IMDb.
