  1. well davis did well when he came in...o'hare and green too in their limited games. as for the others the jury's out cause we havent seen them at this level
  2. for me the answer is "not sure" but a certain "no" to AVFC getting promoted if we sack him...i dont think the club could cope with rebuilding the backroom as well as the playing staff sufficiently to challenge the top 6 i'm still bruce in...but lets see how the season starts - if he gets the youngsters in the first 18 (which we wont have a choice) and lets the reigns off them we might see some entertaining games
  3. a young player will align himself to a manager that, he believes, is doing the best by him and his career. i believe the fact he's an AVFC fan is irrelevant if the club sack bruce and brings in a man that he doesnt know and/or trust. you can apply this to many organisations. any leadership course i go on say the same thing as to why people move roles: 90% of the time it's due to the manager (i get this isnt always the case in footy) but working well with your manager is half the battle in any line of work
  4. couldn't agree more Very speculatively, i think we would also lose Jack if Bruce went, in light of recent interviews with him where he couldn't praise Bruce more for how he has helped his career...
  5. there are plenty of players that we've let go and said "they aren't that great anyway" and it's been true...JT is not one of them in my opinion and will, on the contrary, be quite a loss
  6. bit of a random article...never heard of him https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/exclusive-former-inter-boss-in-line-to-become-aston-villa-boss-34312
  7. if you just want atmosphere go for it, if you actually want to be able to have a drink and/or piss then i would steer clear!
  8. quoting from new manager speculation thread because it's already 20 pages too long and don't want to add to that... i 100% agree with this and is why win or lose saturday we stick with bruce and keep at it. there will be some comings and goings as there is every summer but i do think the core spirit will remain. the smiles on the players faces on the training pitch is there to see and yes i know there will be an element of PR in that from the club, but i refuse to believe someone is there saying "come on boys, smile for the camera"...i don't remember a season where there has been so much positivity coming out of the club seemingly from all angles
  9. They are all over this Forum, Villians hiding in Fulham’s clothing. All coming on as new members and closet Fulham Supporters, ignore them otherwise it will end up with regret. looking on that forum it should be more like: "beware fulham fans buying extra tickets with the view to making a few quid on resale sites then realising that there are so many they have no chance of selling so pretending my grandad now cannot make it, pretty obvious"
  10. you're better off getting yourself on twitter/facebook groups as there are sure to be a few floating about from fellow villa fans on the day
  11. @Dom_Wren just looked up this beer park you mentioned and it intrigues me...beer not stupid money from what i can see etc. would you recommend booking or can just turn up? booked to go next feb...first time there (yeah we're planning already)
  12. soooooo just "come on fulham" written in big letters on a piece of paper? can't say i've ever heard anything else whenever i've been there
  13. Flannery’s Bar, 610 High Road, Wembley, HA0 2AF anyone ever been to this one? nearest to where we're parking our mini bus
  14. so i am reading that as that your account does not have booking history? in which case i believe it will NOT let you...you wont even have a 'Buy' button to click. he will have to log in to his account and buy for you
  15. yeah BS - i would imagine all blocks now on sale which makes the figure of around 2k left quite accurate
  16. that was also due to invasions before final whistle and ripping up seats. i still refuse to believe they will hit shrewbury with a fine after they did it last sunday. anyway, lets agree to disagree, i don't do it but have no problem others doing it as long as it's in peaceful manner. blues showed us in the quarter final a few years back how to make it look small time by goading us rather than celebrating https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/32743437
  17. Do clubs really get fined when you get pitch invasions on a large scale? it's not like the club could have done something to stop it and i refuse to believe that these lower league clubs get hit with fines when they win a big cup tie etc
  18. i actually think he would have been OK in the end...they started to play some nice stuff, battered a team (cant remember who) but ended up losing which cost his job. were bruce to leave i would consider him
  19. in fairness in the cold light of day, i'm sure they would take those comments back if they could
  20. fulham have around 1000 tickets left for the away end tonight apparently...if we play them in the final i can see us having 45k there as there's no way they're selling their 35k allocation
  21. probably just the 2 vs us at their place last 2 seasons - from what (little) i've seen they're shambolic at the back...but everyone has their bogey teams
  22. if this wasn't the case his name wouldn't even be mentioned with us
  23. must be walking at a fair pace as it's a good 3 miles
  24. i didnt see him walk down the tunnel, so presumably he was hauled off cause he was having a shocker and not because of injury?
