He's one that I think could still have a good championship/lower prem career if he can finally get over his injury issues. Hopefully we can find a permanent move but with bonuses and a sell on if he does well.

I had a similar thought myself. It's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that there's a fairly low release clause in his new contract. Even then though he can do a lot better than Spurs.

Ahh okay. I'd seen reports he was out of contract this summer but just checked and he was on the retained list. Then there's the rumours today of a transfer so he must have another year.

You never know. That Huddersfield team that got promoted with a negative goal difference somehow stayed up for a season! They did spend a fair amount to do it though which it doesn't seem Luton will/can. Based on their early signings it seems their approach is to sign decent championship players so at least they will have a better championship squad if they do go down which seems sensible.
