Yeah totally agree. We need a proper back up striker and I think we will go for one in the summer. We just have to hope Ollie is back asap so that our season doesn't fall apart. It doesn't sound like he will be out for too long but that's how most Villa injuries sound, until they last months. We should be ok. I reckon he will be back within the couple of weeks.

I would sell him as I believe we have to move one or two players on in the summer to satisfy FFP and I think Monchi and the recruitment team could do a lot with that £40mil. Tielemans and Kamara both cost nothing so I imagine we could get a really solid player for thay sort of money. Don't get me wrong, I like Ramsey, but I don't think he is anything like one of the best players we've had in years and I trust the right people to get a better replacement with the money.

If we get a bid of £35/£40 million for him in the summer, I'd take it. I doubt anyone will pay that sort of money now unfortunately, given his injury problems, but he is definitely a player I would be looking to move on. Shame, as there was a brief period last season where he kooked like he could have been a good player for us, but I really think we have moved on in the time he has been out. Anything we get for him will be pure profit too as he is an academy player, and that will not be lost on the board.

Benteke? Where are people seeing all this? Ive watched every minute he has played and I haven't seen anything at all that suggest he even has the potential to be like Benteke, never mind the ability. I fear this guy is criminally overrated by our fan base. I know that will annoy some people but that is honestly how I see it. Far more likely to be booked than to score. He is a better option than Davis, but that's not hard. I hope to have better options next season but for now I would start Diaby or Zaniolo. If I'm proven wrong about him then I will 100% hold my hands up but I do not see Duran making it as PL player based on what I have seen to date. Benteke? Really?

I wouldn't start Duran. We have better options, such as Diaby or Zaniolo. We don't need Duran lumbering around, flying into tackles, getting sent off and smashing shots over the cross bar. That said, it would be good to have Diaby fresh for the winnable game against Brentford.

People keep bringing up the home fixture as some kind of yardstick. They didn't have Rodri (63 games unbeaten) or De Bruyne and we DID have Watkins, McGinn and Kamara. Plus we were at home. Completely different set of circumstances. So much so that the home result is irrelevant to this game.

I'm just realistic. We could have given them a game and nicked a point with McGinn, Kamara and Watkins. But we would need all 3 of them. It looks like we will have none of them. It's not a big deal, as we lose there every single year and have done for almost 2 decades. I just don't want to screw up the goal difference.
