  1. The rights for this show, along with Jessica Jones, have reverted to Marvel now away from Netflix. Would not be surprised to Frank pop up in future marvel TV shows at some point, very popular show and character.
  2. It's not just Jericho either, there's quite a few who are much more conservative than you'd have thought. The Young Bucks are also Trump supporters, and the Khan family gave 1mil dollars after his inauguration.
  3. Martinez. Love you. Poor display, but no scapegoat imho. Dean Smith needs a plan B. Positively, after conceding 3 against Burnley and Spam we've not conceded in two. Something to build on. Would like to see us play with more men deeper in the centre against teams playing with 3 in the middle and wingbacks. Think we'd control the game better.
  4. Dean needs to change the system, and not just for this game. I know we were terribly affected by covid but teams have worked us out now. At least have a plan B
  5. I think a big problem for us this half has been when we're releasing the ball. We seemed to be giving it to players with less time on the ball than the player releasing it. We've got to time that better.
  6. Was just about to say they look like they've got more men on the pitch; their work rate has been very good.
  7. I disagree, he along with Watkins and Jack stop teams from pressing us high, which is crucial to the way we play. But I do think there's more to come from Barkley. He's a good player who can carry the ball, create space, get forward, and pick a pass. Teams worry about him.
  8. Football is so much more than stats. I fail to see how anyone can't see with Barkley in the side we get more from Jack. They link so well together. Barkley hasn't been totally match fit, but he's the best fit for Villa in this system.
  9. I don't see a problem with Barkley starting so long as Luiz and McGinn sit in front of the back four, with one occasionally breaking forward. When either are out of position we look vulnerable. But at the same time having those three in midfield is a big reason why we are so enjoyable to watch going forwards. If we score first in this one I think we'll win handsomely.
  10. I think the only reason we're likely to be in lockdown for a while longer yet is because of the fear of virus mutations. If people continue to get the virus in such large numbers, especially after they've been vaccinated, then the likelihood of the virus mutating into a much worse strain only increases and at a quicker rate too. If that happens we're worse off than when this started. More deaths, more lockdowns, less effective vaccines. We simply have to get the number of new cases down to an absolute minimum before opening things up again. Yes it's a pain, and I especially feel for those in deprived areas where people live on top of each other in houses or flats that are far too small. It's not fair on them. I'm lucky to have a garden where the kids can play on their trampoline or slide. I couldn't imagine the mental effects of truly having no space during lockdown, and I can totally understand why people want it to end.
  11. Great finish by Foden. Title race is over.
  12. Two major issues with the England setup for me; 1. The sarries players in the squad. They hadn't played competitive rugby in months. No way should they be in there, especially considering there are in form players in the same positions at clubs like Exeter, Bristol, and Wasps. They weren't match ready. The difference in intensity was massive. 2. The style of play is so negative and defensive. Pleasingly at premier level this season I think rugby has been played incredibly positively. Too much of a style change given that there's been less international rugby this year and time for the players to adapt. Teams have figured us out now, you could see it in the winter internationals. Until there's a plan b and c expect more results like this.
  13. This could be a great crossover, but isn't this just a way of getting all the belts onto Kenny? I'm sure he's going to get the Impact title as well as his Lucha and AEW titles.
  14. McGinn and Luiz need to both stay deep for a while. Far too much space in front of the defence for Benrahma and Lingers.
  15. He'll always be the douchebag Lt in Magnum Force for me. Couldn't see him as anything else, he was so good playing against Clint's Harry. Really hated his character.
  16. I'd stated that we've done it, however commentators often speak about this during games, McManaman did during the Burnley game as an example. When Leeds do it it's completely ignored, when in my opinion they do it far more frequently.
  17. Diving, or at the very least looking for any kind of slight contact before heading to the floor. I know this is part of the modern game, and we may have been guilty of it a few times this season, but it does my nut in that they're never called out on it but instead they're almost lionised. Hope they fade away very quickly.
  18. Had the vaccine today. Impressed with the speed I got through and the efforts of the staff and volunteers, but there's so many idiots still not even social distancing. Queuing outside an old lady was right up my arse, had to tell her to back off. I wasn't the only one warning people either. Then when inside where your paperwork is checked it was just a free for all with so many people ignoring spacing signage and not distancing just so they can ask a moronic question. Really got me thinking about how much of the spread could be down to there being so many stupid and oblivious people, and not just dangerous Tory policy or selfish people. I was quite shocked to be honest, and I'm a pretty cynical person.
  19. Bit disappointed in Dean that we didn't look to change the system and tighten up after Jack scored. Barkley and McGinn poor second half. Back four positionally woeful. Saying that you could see that the lucky second for them floored us.
  20. The Burnley fans are generally quite confident about this one, and their recent form has been decent. I believe there'll not be many goals in it, 2-1 either way or a 1-1 draw. If they're confident after the Liverpool and Fulham wins and tonight they come on to us we'll beat them though.
  21. We definitely improved as the half went on as Jack got more into the game. Brilliant player. Now let's rub it in to Steve Bruce and smash them. If he'd have got a result here he'd let us know about it.
  22. With it looking likely that Celtic won't qualify for the Champions League this year surely that'll bring Eduoard's price down even more? He's not looked very good for Celtic this season either, but I don't know enough about Scottish football to say why. If he's cheap he wouldn't be a bad squad player surely?
  23. Now Dean has rightly blown up at the officials, and the offside incident completely waved away by all and sundry, my worry is that he's going to become a figure of fun in the media. Next time Dean complains about anything there'll be stories about his behavior rather than the incident, just like whenever Mourinho used to blow up. Mourinho historically acted like a clown to unify his squad (us and them mentality), but he did sometimes have a point. I fully expect other refs to pay more attention to Dean now, in the way that they're aware of who the play actors are and by admission will be more reluctant to hand out free kicks etc. I'm in no way criticizing our manager and agree with his reaction, however I can see it coming back to bite us in the future.
