  1. Well the massive difference is Coutinho is 30 and has had some bad injury issues. Felix is 23 and still has yet to reach his peak, theoretically.
  2. Why is this guy so certain we could afford this transfer, especially if they’re demanding upwards of £86million that’s floating around out there? That’s not even considering his weekly wages…
  3. Didn’t we offer to break the bank and give him £250k?
  4. Well, that’s not what your original statement was but I won’t belabor the point.
  5. Agree it’s not the biggest deal but Buendia, Mings, Digne, Ramsey, Bailey, Watkins, Konsa, Luiz, Ings, Young, Kamara, Nakamba, Chambers and Archer all played at some point in this one. So not accurate with the “hardly any first teamers” played part.
  6. Adam Hlozek is one to keep an eye on. Kids only 20 but is everything you’ve mentioned and still has tons of work left to do. He’s got a bright future.
  7. Oh hell yes. Sign him up asap. And while they’re there we should get Kouadio Kone from them too.
  8. So is he injured again or gone? Haven’t seen any sign of him in the winter break training videos.
  9. Lol yeah take it out on the club. That’s a rational thing.
  10. Romano also tweeted in the summer that Torres release clause was around €55/€60 million. So, not sure how accurate he is with that info.
  11. It was rumored that Chelsea had Nkunku and Gvardiol deals which were very close to being completed but I don’t think those were ever confirmed.
  12. Tyler Roberts was the one that played on.
  13. What did he do? Or was he the one that kicked the cat?
  14. He’s a hot head, that’s why he gets ridicule and abuse. It’s too easy to set him off and every forward player gets kicked up and down the pitch, it’s a physical sport. For anyone that watches college basketball/ NBA, he’s the Grayson Allen of soccer.
  15. Big UVA fan here. They were in a class about non-violent protesting and had just come back from seeing a play on Washington DC. Horrible situation for the community, the team and their families. This kid was also known to have been arrested for possessing a gun in a different county and failed to notify the school about it. Also was part of hazing situation and was reported to the school threat assessment team for making comments about having a gun. Seems like another situation where the system set up may have failed but it’s still just speculation at the moment.
  16. Gerrard also said no one is safe, even McGinn could lose his place and the captaincy if they didn’t play well. We saw how that turned out, I usually ignore scam artists like Gerrard.
  17. It’s not promising but it’s still only been 3 games and he’s played in one of them. We will see what happens after the WC break though. If he isn’t getting game time I’d be surprised if he is still here after January.
  18. Lol it’s funny reading what other fans have said about Villa over the years. You’d think we were the dirtiest team in history with some of the comments levied against us.
  19. So you don’t think he was honest or serious when he said this? “He’s done very well in the days that we have been in the training ground. I knew him when he was playing in Marseille when I was in Paris. I think he’s a good player,” said Emery. “He was injured and out of matches. I think he can help us. Against United, for example, in the last minute, he kept the position he usually plays and his skills were good to help us,” he added.
  20. He’s talked positively about him in practice and gave him his first game time in a year (in which he looked good). Why wouldn’t there be some possibility of a positive ending to this situation?
  21. Imo the thing that McGinn did so well today was not trying to do too much which I think stems from confidence in himself and starting to buy into the system. It was nice to see.
  22. It’s nice to see players like him finding some confidence again.
