    The one thing to note from looking at our entire schedule is we've never gone more than two games without a win. Arsenal will probably break that streak but Bournemouth has 3 points written all over it.

    At the risk of jinxing myself, there’s no way Man U manages to catch us and take 5th. We will get something off of Bournemouth, Chelsea, Brighton and CP.

    It's not out of the question to say that exhaustion played a role in his decision to stick his foot out.

    Feels like the only certainty is both teams will beat teams they aren't supposed to and lose to teams they weren't supposed to lose to.

    Not sure what expected has to do with it. Villa were expected to beat relegation fodder Brentford yesterday and failed spectacularly. With that being said not all is terrible. Just a healthy debate on form.

    Yeah that’s factoring in the entire season. If you isolate our recent form which is more important to what will happen over the next 8 games then it is a concern. First 18 games (up to Man U collapse) we scored 38 and gave up 22 In the 14 since then we’ve scored 26 and given up 27. Is that not something to worry about?

    Form-wise I think we’re too fractured to really worry about beating Spurs. Say what you want about them but they wouldn’t give up 3 to Brentford at home right now. And I’m not saying to give up hope but 4th really is Spurs to lose. Just have to make sure we stay 5th and do our part in the ECL to ensure the PL gets 5 UCL spots.

    Yeah a bit of recency bias with them bottling the league title last year. Didn’t think beyond that.
