  1. How the hell is that not another yellow for Romero??
  2. Arthur Blank, the owner of the Falcons, is also the owner of the MLS team there.
  3. Looked quite lively in the recent training video. Hopefully that’s a sign of things to come.
  4. And from my understanding Vegas and Nevada are hesitant on spending more public money to finance the construction of a new soccer-specific stadium after putting so much into the Raiders stadium.
  5. Why is it always these people that end up having the worst social media history…
  6. Well, theoretically some of those players would be sold for more then they were purchased so it wouldn’t be quite that deep of a waste. Plus you would have some of those players still providing something as rotational players. It’s not like we’d be dumping them on the side of the road. But again it’s purely theoretical at this point.
  7. Well they have the rest of this year to boost their value so it’s not completely hopeless in regards to selling them for half decent prices. Plus I can’t see us getting more than 1 or 2 players in the Jan window which leaves plenty of game time for the new approach to bed in with the current players.
  8. I gotta say. It’s quite impressive to see the goals conceded plummet off a cliff for Olsen compared to Emi. per 90: 1.25 for Emi 4.34 for Olsen
  9. I really hope this Achilles injury doesn’t affect him too much.
  10. I was surprised at how badly Nunez burned him. I think it also screwed up our high line because he was getting beat so badly. Looked like he started anticipating and trying to jump Nunez’ runs. Still feel like he has a solid future even if it’s not with Villa.
  11. I’m sure they have their eyes on plenty of people that won’t be last minute rushes. I wouldn’t be surprised if Emery wanted to get more than a game or two in with this squad before really seeing what positions he needed to address in the transfer window.
  12. I don’t think it’s that unrealistic either. It was funny the way he listed just about every position when the short form would’ve been to just say we basically need a whole new starting 11. Outside of Martinez and Kamara and possibly one or two others over the next 4 windows, I would be disappointed if most of the players we have now are still with the team/starting.
  13. He was keeping ahead of Salah to cover the cross which is why he ran past Olsen. It was the right positioning even if it was “reactive.” After that the GK is way off the line, he has to stay back somewhat to protect goal. Once the Pool kid skipped past Olsen and Konsa, Mings does start to close down on the player but drops his knee when he sees him initiate the kick. His positions were more often correct then incorrect yesterday. I’d argue if he seems too reactive or out of position it’s because more often then not he’s covering for a failure in defense due to another player being out of position. And to save us from the continued roundabout argument of bias, no this is not to acquit him of any wrong doing that he is guilty of, he’s far from a perfect player. But it’s not as grievous as some make it out to be. We’ve already seen the defensive stats of the team with and without him. He’s one of our best defenders if not the best defender. Surround him with better players and let’s see if those perceived mistakes continue or lessen. That will tell us what we need to know about him.
  14. So basically a whole new squad over 2 years, lol.
  15. I think it’s pretty simple. We just need to become PSG and have our own Navas and Donnarumma. That way we never have issue when swapping out GKs…
  16. Agreed. A poor touch, sure, but not enough to wholly blame him for it. It was a goal where multiple parts failed, Mings included. Overall Mings was solid today and is not a problem within this team. There are several issues with our squad, majority of them lie with the attack not being able to finish anything. Defense has its own issues but we should be able to acknowledge that some of those issues would be lessened if players like Ollie could score more.
  17. I was thinking super sub/ rotational player for Bailey unless he proves he can be consistent.
  18. No way we’re getting Torres. Although it would be nice. Mings still has value for us but there are CBs out there better suited for Emerys system.
  19. We just need to overhaul our front line outside of Bailey.
  20. Mings and DC will be our starters next season. Konsa should be sold.
