  1. Bailey was literally next to him there just inside after Zaha was on his arse and he just pelts it at the fullback
  2. Whether or not we want to do the standard villatalk pedantics and semantics, it's clear the question is framed as Buendia has done enough to start and you are not starting him. Yet the manager has given valid reasons why he hasn't started (this season) but those with an axe to grind won't have it.
  3. Getting done on freekicks and corners again tomorrow. Won't win this one.
  4. He's already put an explanation forward last week on Buendia. This was last Saturday. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/steven-gerrard-makes-emi-buendia-24752062?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar “He was winning the race for a starting slot and he got a muscle injury in a behind-closed-doors against Fulham. He missed close to a week and his training performance was slightly off from where he was prior to the injury so we’ve been patient with him and haven’t felt the need to risk him and start him from the beginning because of the muscle injury which you don’t know about. “So before you point stuff my way, you need to get the right information in tact. I think I’ve done the right thing with Emi which is to protect his health. We put him on today when the team needed energy and quality and he delivered. Nobody’s a bigger fan than Emi Buendia than me.”
  5. Hilarious that this thread has barely any activity. He was brilliant today, hence why it has barely no activity.
  6. Lol, in a way I admire a man who is willing to die on that hill.
  7. Side picked based on performances...Konsa was shit last week so Mings rightfully returns to the side. Mings was recovering from an injury so not beyond the realms of possibility that was the reason he was on the bench last week. So, can we entertain the possibility that this massive rift was a load of bollocks then?
  8. I'm going for...No assist, plays shit, subbed off on 65 for Bernardo Silva..I get a cup of tea and head over to the Jack Grealish thread on the Bluemoon forum for post match reaction.
  9. Mate Guilbert is shit, Traore is a lazy bastard (I know that insinuation upsets a lot on here but it's true) and Sanson has been seen to throw 2 strops on the bench or coming off which is a shocking rate considering we hardly ever bloody see him. Plus someone's got to go in the reserves, the squad is massive! In the case of Mings, all was not well with Smith either at the end (Sanson to that point also same treatment under Smithbaa Gerrard) and there may be valid reasons on the captaincy. I'm absolutely on board with the view that Gerrard is a pashun merchant who is out of his depth but at times i think we are just picking up any potential thing to throw at him because he's been so underwhelming for us.
  10. Sounds believable. I remember that first season in the prem we were a shambles when he was missing and got tonked. Watford away 3-0 (instantly got back on track a few days later when he came back for Burnley on New year's Day), Southampton home 1-3, Leicester 1-4, Spurs which we only lost 2-3 somehow but we're diabolical defensively. Whatever the game was when Smith took him out last year we deffo lost too
  11. I'm talking about losing the head in terms of your play after a mistake. Ive seen him make an error and then go to pot positionally and in terms of his decision making as a defender. I'm not talking about him occasionally stamping on people's heads.
  12. He didn't score but ran down the left wing and stuck a cross in for Trezeguets equaliser against Fulham at home in the 3-1 win (a few mins after dropping a howler to let Mitrovic put them ahead)
  13. Tbf Ive never seen Ming's as a leader. A leader doesn't lose the head the way he does when he makes a mistake. Also, it's interesting when the going got tough in Smith's last few games he dropped him. I don't think he's good with adversity. One thing is sure though, he's the only player we have who is commanding in the air and better than Konsa so we are in a right shit position if this is a falling out.
  14. He's lost that burst of speed that he used to have. I hoped it would come with games but he hasn't got it at all. I'll never give up hope on a player like him though.
  15. Wayne Rooney Lols (although probably would be better though)
  16. Exactly, Newcastle and West Ham towards the end of last season was the same. We melt against physical teams and look absolutely clueless.
  17. We're managed by a passion merchant and a Blackpool manager.
  18. It's so **** stupid, it's bordering on negligent. It at the very least lowers your faith in the iq of the man. It's not even tactics it's bastard commonsense
  19. Another header, not like this was pointed out before kick off
  20. They must think we have John Carew in the box or something. Just swinging it in when we have no aerial threat all game.
  21. Knew it, they were always gonna try and bully us on set pieces. Ffs
