Sure he'll be on Southgate's radar when the next squad is announced. He's been an outstanding player this season.
  2. Well we certainly look very organised these days so something has clicked. We have momentum and we have a great team spirit within the squad which also counts for alot. Nothing is being left on the pitch. Great to see!
  3. It's just lazy journalism. A 5 year old could have written something better in crayons.
  4. We seem much fitter at the moment so I'm hoping we can at least match them for a hard earned point. My worry is the first 15 mins as we seem vulnerable at the start of games. We can't concede early. We should be cautious and try and hit them hard on the break.
  5. I actually think half the time opposition players are psychologically beaten when Jack has the ball in front of them. Quite often I see them deflated and making no attempt to win the ball and just go into Jack out of pure desperation
  6. He's steadily getting better as the season goes on. That injury really done him in I think. If he can just add a few goals to his season now. You can see he's desperate to score one but isn't playing as high up the pitch this season.
  7. Having seen the replays a few times now I think it's fairly obvious Mings caught the back of Zahas leg on purpose. Wasn't that bat but obviously retaliated for Zahas push or punch whatever it was. It's all a bit pathetic really but that's football! Zaha has an awful attitude so no wonder he hasn't progresed his career.
  8. In my opinion Mings will be straight back in the team after his suspension. Done nothing to deserve being dropped and a key player.

  10. I think all villa fans were very concerned about our subs but its great how they've stepped up when needed.
  11. The second yellow was silly but the first was a bit unlucky. For that reason a soft sending off really. What annoyed me is that Milojevic should have got a second yellow for his cynical tackle in the second half. No different from Mings one on Zaha! I'm glad he's got a "nasty" streak in him because you need that in a team.
  12. Got to be worth 50m on current form! You just feel like it's impossible to score against him. I swear he must be a Jedi.
  13. Sick passing today. Incredible vision for that pass to Ollie. Best player in the prem by some margin at the moment.
  14. He was so good today that his work almost goes unnoticed. So slick and unassuming. He was hoovering up everything.
  15. Tackling was first class today. No one could get past him. Another MOTM contender.
  16. Should really have put that Grealish chance away... more of a bad miss for me rather than unlucky but apart from that outstanding and deserved MOTM! He's working so hard on and off the ball.
  17. Indeed and its maybe that previous torrid seasons have made some fans overly paranoid and hyper critical. I think we've all felt like that at times but you have to overcome it with some logical rational thinking!
  18. Absolutely brilliant today and I think the reason he stayed on the pitch over Traore is because of his extra speed and height. Many Twitterati questioning Smith's decision but was a stroke of genius. What a goal. He seems to have a stronger mentality and more determined than ever which is what many people including myself were questioning last season.
  19. Sorry to say there are some real weapons on here. A minority I might add, but fair few very vocal about how bad they thought Traore was after a few limited appearances.
  20. Absolutely priceless and irreplaceable purely because hes a Villa fan! And then on talent alone there are very few players in world football with his particular skill set. We could sell him for 300m and I would still be miserable. Just have to cherish these times and hope we can lift silverware with him as captain!
  21. Ollie was excellent yesterday and doing everything right other than converting a chance. We just need to make sure that he doesnt have to drop off excessively and then keep getting the ball to his feet where he can do the damage. It must be frustrating for him but his general play is great.
  22. Yes I thought that Yes for a few seconds was convinced he was getting a red
  23. Easy to say in hindsight but daylight robbery of Arsenal. On current form he must be one of the best keepers in the world. Feel so confident having him as the last line of defence and his reactions and distribution are top notch.
  24. He's having great season. I was really concerned about him as I'm sure many also were but has really improved. Seems much more focussed and "on it" whereas last season his confidence and concentration were shot at times. Quality of team mates has taken the strain off him obviously but credit where credit is due.
