  1. I think John is struggling playing deeper. Perhaps Sanson can take his place and he can push further up? Used to score goals!
  2. For once I actually agree with you lol. No Nakamba doesn't deserve to be benched but is simply a victim of the pecking order. I think Nakamba has done great but Doug is simply the better player and if he's rested up, been training well and back to form then he should be starting. Good to know Nakamba is ready to step in when needed though.
  3. Still squanders the odd decent chance - and our goal scoring still concerns me - BUT he was surperb again today!
  4. So basically what we've learnt is that you can only score against Emi if he let's you lol. Absolutely superb today!
  5. Still thought he did OK today. Couldn't give a rats arse about a few bottles getting kicked and I bet Dean doesn't either. Get a grip if this upsets you lol
  6. Best think about Jack today was his defensive discipline. Was always causing problems on the left and easing pressure for the team usually with three arsenal players around him too. Very very good.
  7. Work rate from both Targett and Cash (should be a tv show) was epic today. Both unreal effort!
  8. He's so dangerous on the ball love it. It's good to have in case Jack picks up an injury. Great assist with outside of the boot today.
  9. Because Connor has proved time and time again he hasnt got the work rate or physicality to cut it week in week out in the Premier League. He would have been destroyed today I can guarantee it. I will also add I thought Barkley was very good today despite showing frustration at being subbed. Think he wanted to have scored that's all.
  10. The assist and goal was very good. I wish we would try and score more like this as I feel sometimes we try and pass it into the net.
  11. Blokes human after all lol Owes us nothing... other than beating Arsenal of course!
  12. Yes exactly. We just weren't at the races and Smith didn't quite get tactics right. I don't think it's a major drama, it's another point of learning and you have to give credit to West Ham. Out thought and out fought us!
  13. Coufal disrupted Jack for sure. Jack will always be dangerous but he was affected last night as were the whole team.
  14. Coufal was brilliant. Harassing and bullying all game. Something none of our players had in their locker tonight.
  15. I don't think there is too much value in picking on individuals tonight. The midfield were poor and that put pressure on our defence who for the most part were actually very good. Generally we were sluggish, hesitant with the passing and movement on and off the ball was just not right. West Ham were strong and organised and capitalised on our weakness. I'm sure Dean will look at it all and learn from it as will the players. Won't take much to improve against Arsenal that's for sure.
  16. I really want us to score plenty of goals tonight. Little frustrated of late with the amount of chances we squander. We're doing well though as are West Ham so expect a really tough game. We're at home and should be winning it.
  17. Yes I think so and it would have been a real knife edge scenario for Jack prior to our survival being confirmed. I expect the owners were on the blower quick time after that final game and as you say Jack wouldnt have taken much convincing. But the "what if" scenario must have been playing through his mind and I don't think that was nessecarily linked to any firm offers.
  18. Also the fact we narrowly missed relegation. Surely he would have gone had we went down again. I think that 50/50 thinking must have been related to that too?
  19. If we can somehow get European football, that along with Jack will be a huge carrot to dangle for any future signings. That would be the trigger for "The Next Level". We simply cannot pass up this opportunity in what is a unique season. Imagine european nights and the team being led out by Jack into a floodlit, packed Villa Park!
  20. Well not gonna cry over it nothing we can do so crack on.
  21. I didn't see a single mistake from him today. Seemed to be winning everything and fully committed to all challenges. Sensational again.
  22. Judging by that first half take down from a long pass I reckon those new boots have built in Loctite on the toes.
  23. Although its a concern we only lost two players whereas other lose many more.
  24. Fitness improving. Great game tonight. I wonder if thats why Dean didnt make any subs til ET in order to really push energy levels.
