First ones on him, but the loss - not a chance. For free kick, people would have been crying if he didn’t attempt a challenge, not even 100% was a free kick, but was a GK error it ended up in the net. Overall I didn’t think he was too bad, people make out like it’s all on him we lost - 100% it’s not.

Was ok, certainly don’t think he was MotM. A couple of good driving runs, but poor final ball I thought, was more involved when on the left touchline. I really want him to be as good as people think, just can’t see it, although again formation/shape not too his strengths

Our best 11 (I know that’s down to opinion) doesn’t fit our formation, we have zero identity - I watched yesterday and had no idea how Stevie G wanted them to play. We seem to have a really awful trait of making our players look bad (a la Ramsay, couts, Digne yesterday) and making distinctly average opposition players look like world beaters - all this comes from the training ground. We don’t play to anyones strengths (McGinn asked to do stuff he is not good at, it’s no coincidence how he played in championship or for Scotland, full backs hardly getting past half way, bailey, Couts the list goes on). We leave the one DM exposed 9 times out of 10 We need balance, but equally players need to know their responsibilities (don’t know if this is Gerrard not getting it across or players not doing it).

Always target 1st, try to win every game Aim for Top 8, Realistic top 10. Anything below 12th is failure. Lots of variables this season, Mid season WC, 5 Subs, Newcastle! Just to name a few. looking forward to it, think we have potential, football is all about momentum .

I still feel your best XI is always opposition dependent, only the really world class teams can be a bit more rigid but even the very best mix it up to suit. We can still have a way of playing/identity with slight tweaks in formation/players For me we have. Emi M Cash Konsa. Mings Digne McGinn Luiz Buendia. Coutinho. Ramsey Watkins Emi Cash. Chambers Mings Digne Luiz Sanson. McGinn Ramsey Coutinho Ings Emi Cash Konsa Mings. digne Sanson Luiz Ramsey Buendia. Watkins Bailey All fairly decent and I have not included Nakamb, Traore, Chuck and a few others who could slot in.
