Where do people see our weaknesses? For me. A decent 2nd string goalkeeper is an absolute must! Defence - Ranked 6th in the league this season even with DC on the sidelines, not where our priorities lie. Probaly need some strength in depth at RB. Midfield - In Kamara, McGinn, JJ and Douglas Luiz we have a really strong core of midfield just need to keep hold of them, so much speculation but Ugarte is not joining thats hilarious. Guendouzi would be my choice a bit of bite in midfield Forward line - We need more goals simple as, Ollie has had an amazing run but we need more options.

If we make the Europa conference I doubt either will be going anywhere.

As much as it pains me to say it we are not likely to become a long term top 4 club anytime soon, we simply do not have the commercial revenue coming in to sustain it. As brilliant as Unai is he can only work with what he has, we may flirt with the top 4 occasionally over the next few years but we have to be realistic.

Reiss Nelson reported to be about to sign a new long term contract would have been a great addition under the right terms.

They have the makings of a solid top 10 team, they have had an excellent season but are never going to break into the top 4 they just don't have the resources. It will be interesting to see how there league form is next season with the Europa league.

Totally agree, we were in freefall and Covid gave us a breather and time to regroup. It could be a very different picture now if that had been a normal season.

Very little chance we will have 4/5 new starting 11 come the start of the season. That's half the outfield presuming you are happy with Emi in goal. 2/3 new starters at most I'd say providing we don't see all our better players moving on.

Makes me laugh when I see people on here saying loan our young players to Vitoria! they are a top tier Portuguese team who have European football next season not our feeder team. I’m fairly sure the investment in them isn’t for Aston Villa’s benefit. -

Agree, he'll be Micah Richards MK II just injured all the time on a big wage and end up being hated by the fans which for someone who has been one of the best in the world at a point in time is a shame.

I hope we can offload him in the summer his signing was a huge mistake, absolutely unbelievable player when he was at Liverpool but he’s never ever going to replicate that again. Wish him nothing but the best but not at this club.
