  1. The best part is you know if they offered him the chance to do exactly that, he'd be well up for it.
  2. It's a little trickier to fake the blue tick and the part where it lists his 1.5 million followers and hundreds of posts. It's also the exact sort of thing I expect him to do at this point. I don't know who this person is of course, so I'm not sure if there's really anything wrong with it.
  3. It's crazy to think he was unanimously accepted as our weak link last season, the player we most needed to upgrade. When Matty Cash came in as an upgrade over Guilbert I immediately thought "no no no, there's nothing wrong with him, what are you doing?" It just goes to show how little I actually understand about football. Targett never needed replacing, and Guilbert, as much as I love the guy, probably did. Targett has been sensational all season. He gave away that penalty against Sheffield which made me think it'd be more if the same from him, but that's literally the only thing he seems to have done wrong all season. He has not looked back. I don't think our left side has weakened all that much in Jack's absence simply because Targett was such a massive part of its strength all along. Matty, if you're reading this for some reason, I'm sorry I ever doubted you.
  4. Don't let silly things like facts spoil my joke.
  5. Very clever of WBA to sign Lee Mason in January. Easily their best player yesterday.
  6. They are entertaining, not because they're particularly good but because their games are so chaotic. The best compliment I can pay them is that I fell asleep watching Newcastle Vs Wolves last night, but I'd never miss a moment of a Leeds game. Even this game, where we only had 30% of the ball, was end to end football. It's fun to watch, but very often for all the wrong reasons.
  7. This is true. Jack is the best we have for sure, but there are extremely few players in the world who can carry an entire team all on their own, with absolutely no help at all. Likewise, there's not many professional footballers playing in a top league who are completely and utterly hopeless at football. If they were, how would they get to that point in the first place? Boiling us down to a one man team is merely a simple way for opposition fans to put us down. We know we have a good squad now and we can trust them to put in a shift when needed.
  8. Leeds should try to arrange an alternative venue until this is sorted, if for no other reason than it's hindering their own style of play.
  9. I hope he's not injured. I've never seen defenders take goal kicks, ever. I've also never seen a player pop some paracetamol halfway through a match.
  10. The commentators actually talked more about us than them. Probably the first time they weren't slobbing Bielsa's knob. I'm stunned.
  11. It's probably the coolest goal I've seen in a while, simply because of how casual and easy he made it look. It's really a thing of beauty. The Newcastle one is damn good too - a quality shot in off the crossbar with his week foot, hit first time, following a sumptuous first touch before the pass to Grealish. Then there's the Bristol one, which is just simply fun to look at.
  12. At this point it'd probably be best that he protect his legacy here by not returning. For the most part fans have positive memories from him, and I'm sure looking back he realises his time here was the best in his career by a long way. I used to be all for him returning purely for the nostalgia, but I doubt that'd be the right thing for either party.
  13. I don't really mind Newcastle. I think the reason they have for hating us is silly at best, and I don't see any reason in reciprocating. For that reason, I think I'd rather see Albion go down. Although it is nice to have an actual derby in the league, with a club that could actually be considered a derby rival. I wouldn't mind WBA surviving simply because I doubt they'll be competing at the same end of the league as us in the near future. I just don't see how they can manage it from this point.
  14. But the only thing their holding company holds is the club. Do they even own their own stadium? Either way, neither of those things are even worth £36, never mind £360m.
  15. Just been listening to Radio 1. They've got a section where people call in and tell stories of times they made huge mistakes, and a guy just called in to confess that he got his mates dad's ashes, who was a massive Bluenose, buried right in front of the Holte End goal completely by accident.
  16. I just shrug and say "jealousy is a terrible thing". They don't take it well.
  17. Considering the money Micah was on, letting him go would've been tantamount to accepting a "small fee" for him. To not let him go, all things considered, was terrible for everyone involved. I don't dislike Keith by any means, but he should really just drop this.
  18. If it weren't for their behaviour in our darkest times, I would at least pity them right now. As it is, they can disappear for all I care. I'd hate to see any other club in this situation, even West Brom. But let's be honest - they're barely even a football club. Just a bunch of jumped up hooligans who have never seen the sun.
  19. From what I've gathered, a lot of Blues fans consider him amongst their best players - and therein lies the problem for them. Making sure players his level got nowhere near our team was pretty much crucial for us getting promoted.
  20. Leeds are certainly fun to watch simply because their games are unmitigated chaos. It's good as a neutral, but I often feel like I'd be watching the games from behind the sofa if I were a fan.
  21. Spotted this on their latest Villa thread. They were questioning when our latest major trophy was. Someone suggested 1996, then someone else popped up with this: "1982. League Cup isn’t a major trophy." This has two implications: one, 2011 means nothing, and two, they as a club have never won anything of note in their entire history. Mad thing for a bloser to say, and perhaps one for the repertoire.
  22. I thought this was a bit of a jibe at first, so I checked - it actually is the finest moment in their entire history. Their only major honours are two League Cup wins. I was genuinely surprised to learn this. Relegation from the Championship is not a "similar fate" to relegation from the PL. One of those things is considerably worse.
  23. People on Twitter are implying that he thinks Jack is better than Messi. I should know better than to engage with these people, really.
