6 points from 2 games would be an incredible start, and a blow to many anti-Villa pundits predicting us to go down, but Fulham will give everything here to get their season going. Think we'll sneak a 0 - 1 win.

Personally, I'm not sure how it's tricky or difficult or confusing or problematic or anything... he's a genuinely brilliant young prospect, getting regular minutes, signed a new contract, happy to be a part of the squad and makes a difference every time he takes to the field.

Also, the comparison between the two isn't as lazy as suggested, as the career trajectory of Drinkwater should provide a salient lesson for Barkley and all professional footballers. Big move doesn't work as hoped, stop playing football almost entirely during your peak and end up on the scrap heap at 30! Barkley should move, and lay the foundations of a brilliant career, rather than one with a few bright spots and a lot of hype. Could be an excellent signing.

Completely agree with this. He is an excellent option, and exactly what you need when defending a lead, as he proved yesterday.

Personally, I just wish there was a greater degree of honesty, and a more philosophical attitude from managers. I know they are under enormous pressure. Absolutely huge. But any of those decisions going the other way, what would Wilder say then? Would he still be as angry and confused with the rules?? Surely he would as they would have been interpreted the exact same only for his team and benefit. It's the same injustice to the game, isn't it? So frustrating and transparently disingenuous. -

Christ, Wilder complaining so much you'd think they hadn't been awarded that penalty. Doesn't seem to understand the double jeopardy rule about red cards and peno's either. Crazy amount of complaining. -
The real John McGinn will come good after an injury free run in the team, because he's class.

Seems very likely WBA will be in the bottom 3 for the season beginning to end if they're going after the likes of Samatta. Good luck to the kid wherever he goes, just not Premier League quality.
