So it looks as though, correct me if I'm wrong, our manager set a Villa record of 10 straight wins in the Championship, and now, could set a record for the first 5 games games of season! It really seems Dean Smith is writing his name into the AVFC history books in front of our eyes. Whatever next?

Alan Green? Completely agree. When 'the others' do well, it demonstrates the lack of quality in the league, when the fabled 'top 6' dominate, things are how they should be. Completely obliterating history and the cyclical nature of football from their minds.

Such a great post until... we will be fine. That's what you think actually think, at the start of the season when hope is through the roof, after beating Liverpool by that score!? They will be fine is the go-to line for all football pundits who don't actually give a shit, or know much about, the team they have been asked to speak about.... "They will be fine. Who cares. I don't know". I don't think any such thing. I'm hoping my predicted (more than fine) 8th/9th finish is going to look conservative by the time we're scrapping for 5th/6th...... or higher!! (early season hope - see how it works!)

@MaVilla - thanks for posting the Liverpool fan reaction thing. You can see the very moment we scored the 5th goal, that it suddenly dawned on him how he started his show. I'm not on social media to chuck mud about, because I'm an adult, but what a gobshite.
