  1. It's funny because I thought I remembered Benteke missing too many but looking at his stats he scored 7 and missed 2 for us. I think it's only because of how high Barry and Milner had set the bar beforehand I remember his misses. We'd kill for a striker who converted 78% of them right now
  2. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but based on the evidence of this thread it's most likely that you just imagined these dives. Have you ever had a professional assessment of your hallucinations?
  3. Any more? You've put a video of the one already mentioned and the video of a foul. This mystical thread full of videos of Grealish diving is in your imagination.
  4. That's a foul though? Pereira clearly hip checks him to impede his run.
  5. Full of recent videos but the only one you've provided was one of the two already mentioned? Is it just full of videos of those two incidents over and over?
  6. They do but it takes a few days to test positive after contracting it I think
  7. And of the 5 he didn't score 4 were on target but saved. 34 out of 35 on target is the kind of ratio we should be aiming for.
  8. He caught it beforehand apparently. Someone he was in contact with didn't test positive until after the weekend though. I would love them to give Russell the seat for the last two weeks as an audition. Failing that, Hulkenberg to finally get a podium.
  9. They're up in arms because they were the opposition fans most obsessed with Grealish for 18 months and now every man and his dog is talking about him. They need to edit fouls out of videos of him getting fouled so Senpai will still notice them.
  10. 1 in 4 aren't converted but most of those are saved. Ramos had two saved rather than missing the target with two. Much more palatable
  11. To be fair it did end up back in play. Completely agree though, 100 out of 100 should hit the target in training and >95 out of 100 should hit the target in the pressure and exhaustion of a game.
  12. I wouldn't mind if we took Anguissa off their hands in one of the next few windows. Despite the fact that they lose every week he really seems to be a big presence and carry the ball well.
  13. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say if this was pre halo that crash would've probably ripped his head off, he was going much faster than Bianchi was. On top of that it's incredible he wasn't knocked out and left unconscious in the fire. I suppose the Armco deserves some credit for dissipating some of the energy, but I hate the metal barriers. The sooner all tracks have tecpro the whole way round the better.
  14. I think you might be. His version doesn't ring completely true to me and looking at the footage of him saying it is very damning. https://videos.dailymail.co.uk/video/bc/rtmp_uds/1418450360/2011/12/21/1418450360_1339977153001_John-Terry-racist-abuse.mp4 Edit - I don't believe this is proof that he holds any racist views. This was a significant amount of time ago and hopefully he's evolved to not say things like this in order to be hurtful in the heat of the moment. It would definitely put me off working with him though, especially if I was not white.
  15. I think you're conflating two completely unrelated issues there. I think Grealish should be fined and banned from driving for several years but ideally the club will spin it into a positive rather than removing the armband. Either by having a drink driving awareness campaign that Grealish is involved in, or some kind of charity initiative for the victims of drink driving.
  16. I remember that name from a few seasons ago. Can't remember any specific games I don't think but I'm sure he was s**t if he was in the Championship. Edit - Just looked him up, he reffed that Preston game. Cheers Pete. Always rated him.
  17. I might be wrong but I can't really think of a club that would remove their captaincy for traffic offenses. Lloris got an enormous fine and ban for a more egregious drink driving offence than Jack's and is still Spurs captain AFAIK Maguire battered someone and then tried to bribe the police and he's still United captain AFAIK Edit - Deeney was Watford captain last season and he went to prison for booting someone's head in while at the club
  18. I think it's for the calendar year rather than season, so he's been nominated based on the last 21 games of the Championship season and the first 9 of this season. So in his defence he did outperform Bilic by 10 points over that period of the 19/20 Championship. 3 points more than Wigan isn't very impressive though, Paul Cook is probably a bit hard done by to not get a nomination if Bielsa got one.
  19. World class finishing aside, his first touch is absolutely sublime. I don't think I've ever seen someone beat a man with their first touch so often. The only criticism I could possibly have of him is that his dribbling looks very untidy. It's still effective though so it doesn't really matter, I think I've just been spoiled by watching Grealish every week.
  20. I know this wasn't directed to me and if I had to guess I'd say there is a high chance BAME managers don't get equal consideration for posts but I don't believe the percentage of BAME players would necessarily be reflected in the percentage of managers even if consideration for posts was equally given. For a start, the pool of potential managers is not limited to former PL players, or even top level players at all. I don't think playing PL football is particularly useful for managing a PL side. Off the top of my head I'd say less than half of the current set played any top flight football in the top 5 leagues. That said, I'd be in favour of a Rooney rule type thing just to increase the chances of proper consideration being given to BAME applicants.
  21. As I understand it, him signing a new contract wouldn't have any effect on the buyback clause. Obviously I don't have any knowledge of any of the contracts that exist between City, Villa and Luiz but when he signed those who seeminly had more inside info than me intimated that the buyback was likely to already include a pre-agreed contract between Luiz and City and as soon as the clause was triggered he would instantly become a City player.
  22. On top of that, their best player, who they've just convinced to sign a contract where they'll pay him about £60m in over the next 3 years, plays LW. There is unironically more chance of us winning the league this season than them signing Grealish.
  23. He's predicted us a draw this week too. That extends our winless run to 6 games (5 losses and a draw) in Lawroland. Tis a silly place. Surprised he's got caught up in the Leeds circlejerk quite so hard, he usually seems too meat and veg for that kind of exotic hype job
  24. I'm here all week. Always Sunny has a big cult following, it's very good though.
