    I disagree, his deficiencies are tactical. He almost plays as a third centre half he gets that close to mings. The number of times hes out of position is ridiculous. Having said that he is still a massive improvement on Taylor.

    I've read it that he is being sentenced for the motoring offences. Two other cases were dropped after no evidence.

    The model set out by the owners and DS is clear. Players with something to prove (either on the up, or like Barkeley), no history!, age with a resell value. Paul McGrath was an exception not a model for future transfers, which is what it became, and also nearly destroyed the club.

    Brilliant game. Thought defensively we were superb. I thought mcginn and luiz in midfield stood out. I voted trez mom thought defensively and attacking, he is perfect in away games. Ollie, if you give him a chance he scores. Jack........ I have no words.

    And you saw a CDM constantly breaking up attacks? Dont get me wrong I think technically he is a good player, I dont think he is a CDM at the moment, and I dont think he is has the awareness to play there at the moment. He had a good post lockdown but I dont think he has been particularly noticeable this season. I think both he and conor are better wide, I dont think either are Cdm, I think mcginn would be better there.

    Luiz is better McGinn is better An underperforming luiz (which is regular) is not better An underperforming McGinn (which is regular) is not better. I appreciate that Conor isnt great defensively, but watch the highlights of leeds and Southampton how would people rate luiz and mcginn defensively. Would Conor have done better? He definitely wouldn't have been as anonymous as some have suggested.

    Smith has his flaws, but has demonstrated he can adapt. I dont like the 433 if I'm honest, but how much can he change the team really? Leave out who for Hourihane /Ramsey? Davis for Watkins? El Ghazi for Trez? Our first team is better, our bench is better, but you dont go from the great escape to top 6 usually. (dont quote Leicester!)

    I see him differently than most, I find him really annoying, I think he gives the ball away a hell of a lot, doesn't really tackle and goes missing. His decision making re positioning is poor at times. However, for balance I think hes really out of position he isnt a cdm, I dont think the mcginn / luiz partnership is that promising. Is he held back/ exposed by an out of form mcginn? Just some rambling thoughts!

    He didnt jump because he was worried about the shot along the ground. He should have jumped.

    Love him or hate him, still our second best striker. He has a role to play, we wont be signing another centre forward in January.
