That's my worry, I'm not sure that the evolution will secure anything than the supremacy of the big 6. I genuinely miss going down. I think that the social impact on working class pursuits like football and pubs and music gigs will never recover, and the pictures of VP last season will become a museum piece

Interesting to see what will happen long term with fans not in attendance. The connection with a team like villa, unlike Citeh etc isnt winning trophies etc (especially recently) its the actual involvement of going and supporting the team, or for those who are abroad etc of getting up a 3am to watch. I wonder if interest will wane the longer we dont actually see games, either in person or on tv? When will the singing like Citeh at home return?

Not got a problem with signing mercenaries, as long as they do the job. It's usually that we sign idiots on long term contracts that's the problem.

No, we may be Villa fans, but we also have a duty to protect the football pyramid. We're only event 2 seasons away from league 1. Should we then be WBA b team? European countries dont have the depth of support below the top league. The British system is unique and should be protected

I said this to my boys about promotion. The 10 game run contained many last gasp decisions for us. Steers save against WBA when we were 1 down. It's why we shouldn't make snap decisions, fine margins.

I think it's important to prioritise signings. We could all agree on 6/7 positions where we would like to be stronger, but we cant fill them all in the next month with the required quality. For me the order us striker, winger, central defender. If we got 3 quality additions here, but improved the squad with sensibly priced back up, idbe ok with that.
