  1. I'd imagine it's like going to work every day and not getting any assignements. One day you come in, all others are home sick and you think yes! Today is the day, finally I get to do something! But what happens? The boss calls in a school kid to do the work. You go back home after another day of just sitting around doing nothing, feeling unwanted and useless.
  2. We started the season awful just sitting back defending, then there was much preassure on Bruce, he changes the tactics and we played more expansive and attacking for a couple of games and got some good results. Since then we have step by step gone back to the cautious defensive Bruce tactics. Time to cranck up the preassure on him again it seems.
  3. Half time pep talk: Ok, great job lads, exactly like we talked about. Continue like this. And remember what we said, when you have the ball, don't do anything with it, just kick it away. When a team mate has the ball, don't move, hide and be prepared to run back and defend. Ok, great let's go get them!
  4. Great tactics, long ball up to no one. With 6 midfielders you would expect us to at least dominate the midfield, but nope.
  5. Has Hogan had problems with his gates as well or whats going on?
  6. I hope Adomah continues to play left wing, he has been fantastic in that position, would be a mistake to disrupt that by playing him in another position imo. Onomah could probably do a job up front, but It must be like a real punch in the stomach for Hogan, can't get a game even when all other strikers are out... he is on the bench so he must be ready. Very strange this.
  7. Could be a good balance if he is paired with Micah Richards then, as he is about 10 kg too heavy from being a Championship centre half!
  8. Jack is one of few players in the squad who can think outside of the box.
  9. Come on, he is 20 years old. Which 20-year old performs consistantly? Is was the same with for example Bale and Ronaldo at that age.
  10. I was a little bit worried that he wouldn't cope the whole match, be rusty or not on par with Chester - he proved me wrong on every point, a very accomplished performance. Seems to link up well with Chester, he goes for the header, Chester mops it up. I noticed he played on the left side of Chester, when he came on for Terry, Chester switched and Samba played right didn't he. It's a bit odd that a leftie Chester playes to the right and a right footed Samba plays to the left. But it worked well, I guess it's good for the stability of the whole team if the back 4 changes as little as possible. He may seem to be clumsy at times, but at times he showes really good skills and looks a good passer as well. He is fast becoming one of my favourite players!
  11. I was about to say the same thing. Let's not rewrite history just because we are playing well at the moment. Let's enjoy how we play now, support the team and the manager 100% and keep our fingers crossed that we continue playing this way.
  12. Wonderful to see us attack, and to keep attacking after we scored! One of the better performances in a long while. Davis and Onomah seems to click, we look threatening everytime they have the ball!
  13. Fully agree! I don't approve that Jedi looses his i in Jedi :-D
  14. Really good to see Lansbury back, I think he is a very good all round player. It perhaps suits him better to play further up the field, but I think he can do a good job as a regular CM too, as long as the team isn't set up to sit back and defend.
  15. I'd say Taylor is too short to be CB, especially if playing alongside Chester. Speaking of that, where the *** is Tommy Elphick?
  16. He clearly doesn't fit in to Bruce's tactics, but I'm not too fond of the idea of flogging him and buying a target player instead to lump the ball to. Can as well keep playing Samba up top. I would love to see Hogan get a run in the team with players like Grealish and O'Hare behind him and see what he can do.
  17. If we had someone like Barry Bannan in the middle who can actually pick out a through pass when he makes his runs he could perhaps even get a shot on goal.
  18. I don't agree, I think he has been real quality for us. Does anyone know why he was taken off just before half time? He looked really angry and was throwing things when he took a seat on the bench. Just before he was taken off it looked like he was in pain when he took the ball on his chest, did he have a rib-injury before? I really hope he was taken off because of an injury. It wasn't his best game, nevertheless he was one of few who looked like he would create something and had a couple of good runs and shots as well.
  19. Damn! I shouldn't have jinxed it by saying last week I was surprised he had played every minute without getting injured... I'm not quite sure how reliable Samba is, but I'm willing to give him the chance until January, but then we should def go all out for a new CB.
  20. I remember in one of the first games he played for us he received the ball in the middle of the field and made an amazing run through the opponents midfield and defence. It looked very promising then. Since then I haven't seen anything like that from him except a half in pre season. He clearly needs games to get in to match form, but I can't really see him getting that with our style of play, Kodija and Davis...
