  1. We are rotten at the top, and there are too many parasites in the squad. We need to fix these things first before we can consider destroying another manager. No manager with any pride or self respect would want to come here unless these things are fixed. Being the manager of Villa truly is a poisoned chalice. If you sup from this chalice, the liquid within will cause defecation of self respect, pride, confidence, past successes with former clubs, until all that is left is a hollow of a man and a pile of shit that follows that man's name wherever he goes. Garde was set up for failure.

Journo: Well, Guus. A convincing win away from home. You must be very happy with your team's performance today? Guus Hiddink: Yes, well obviously I am. Alan has been excellent for us from both ends in defence and attack. His crosses consistently deny our opponents any chance of strike on goal, and I am also happy how he allows the openings to get our strikers a shot on goal. He does this all with such fierce determination! Also Brad in goal has been fantastic, throwing his body on the line to allow those deflections to go in. Also providing those wonderful openings on his near post too. It is no wonder he leads the comp in goals assist, and he can spit gum really far too.
  3. While I agree with your points, I believe you have missed mine. You can also say Lambert was a good manager at Norwich, until he came to Villa. Garde was regarded as a good manager at Lyon, until he also came to Villa. You could have any of the guys you mention coming to Villa, and still the situation would be the same, unless you have the people above you prepared to back you up and prepared to support you, and a squad of players who actually give a damn. If the manager doesn't have this, he may as well wear a lion suit and walk around the sidelines. The quote is the line directly from the movie, and should be taken with a grain of salt. While I agree having a good manager is important, everything else must be in order so he can at least have something to work with. You have to clean up the back yard first before you can mow the lawn.
  4. Sam Longson to Brian Clough : " The reality of footballing life is this. The chairman is the boss, then comes the directors, then the secretary, then the fans, then the players, and then finally, last of all, the bottom of the heap, the lowest of the low, comes the one, who we can all do without, the f****g manager." The Damned United. For us to be decent again, Randy has to sell, we need to get rid of the players who are playing like they hate this club and replace them with players who do or would cherish playing for Villa, so the fans can actually enjoy being fans of this wonderful club again. Then, we should look at who our manager should be.
  5. The Championship. 2 automatic promotion spots, 4 playoff spots, with 18 other teams making up the numbers. 24 teams, with more than half of those teams with the credentials to grab one of those 6 spots. This is football too, so x factors and chaos will be running rampant. Bouncing straight up is no guarantee.

Chelsea win 4 zip, and then nominate Guzan as their best player.
  7. I don't know about All Out War 2. I was in shock when I saw that cliff hanger, and I tried to imagine myself in Rick's shoes. Revenge, or cut your losses and try and protect as many of these endangered species in your care as you can? Nasty thing they did, but they do have them by the baby candies.
  8. I agree. I remember a few seasons ago when QPR were relegated, the players were coming off in their last game having a chuckle. They were a talented team, but they couldn't give a toss, and were happy to be there just to take the money. This is Villa now. If we expect to bounce back, we need a squad overhaul and get rid of the leeches that are posing as football players. This should be priority one.
  9. It wouldn't matter if the manager was Remi Garde or Charlotte from Geordie Shore. When you have a squad this heartless and hopelessly shite, the results would be exactly the same and whoever the manager is would just be turd polishing.

    Rudy Gestede

During a training session at Bodymoor, Remi walks into the change room, making sure that nobody is hanging back. He turns and notices, that somebody has dropped a turd on the shower floor. Infuriated, he walks outside, and approaches the gaggle of players standing around talking shite. " Right! Which one of you bastards shit on the floor?!" Remi yelled. Rudy Gestede slowly raises his hand. "Me, Boss." he says sheepishly. " But I am not too bad in the air."
  11. I am a big fan of the comics as well as the TV show. At the moment, they are running quite parallel in the story line. There is still a bit to happen yet. If they maintain the current pace, Negan wont show up until the last episode, and shows he is a big tee ball fan.
  12. That ultra sound being passed around. We are so happy for you! Life is great for you both! If any couple deserves a baby, its you two! Glen is a dead man.
  13. I would burn his contract in front of him then piss on it. Not in the office though. You would ruin the carpet.
  14. As the rot continues, we may never really know if he is a good manager or not. His Ligue 1 credentials were quite good, and to accept the task of getting Villa out of relegation spoke a lot for his confidence in his ability. However, after being screwed by Lerner and co, and being given such a piss poor roster full of bad attitudes, Remi was always going to be pushing s*** uphill. Being stuck in the middle between crap club management and players who don't deserve to play, to say he is being shafted is an understatement. Since he is copping it from both ends, he is a piggy on a spit.
  15. There is no depth in this squad to replace the players who don't give a s***. Maybe hold a lucky seat prize of playing for Villa. Some random fan in the crowd will probably give more effort than the mugs we got on the pitch. Or, we could play the kids. Spurs 4 -1.
  16. Villa is a sinking ship. Randy might get lucky and sell for what he asks for, or he might cut his losses and sell for less. He can then wash his hands of Villa, and pursue other business interests if he wants. Remi might be sacked, or he might walk. To rebuild his reputation and or self belief, he could manage a Ligue 2 team and try to build something out of it, or he could simply give the game away. The players could leave and play for other clubs, or retire and live comfortably for the rest of their lives. The fans have nowhere to go. If Villa sinks, they go down with the ship.
  17. That is just...awful. Stats you might expect if City played Torquay under 11s.
  18. I think twonks is a great word too, and I hope it really catches on.
  19. We are weak everywhere. Did you hear about the twonk who tried to kick the ball in the air? He missed.
  20. Likely team selection: 1. Twonk 2. Twonk 3. Twonk 4. Twonk 5. Twonk 6. Twonk 7. Twonk 8. Twonk 9. Twonk 10. Twonk 11. Twonk
  21. City 4 nil, including an own goal by Richards , and Westwood red carded for attempting a flying roundhouse kick to Delph's face. Richards will get the nod for City's most valuable player by doing what he does, forgetting which team he plays for.
  22. It would be nice if Randy reads all these posts, or at least has someone read them to him. He has been shacked up in his ivory towers too long, and needs to at the very least empathise with our pain, but he doesn't, and so I fully support OTD74. As Mark reiterates over and over, if you do nothing, then nothing will happen, nothing will change. If you do something, then there is more chance of change happening than if you do nothing. Although I cant make it to the games, I will at least smile when I hear the count down of the last 10 seconds to the 74th minute, feel proud watching the fans stand, be true to their word and walk out, and chuckle when they pan to Tom Fox with a displeased look as if somebody ate all the cucumber out of his sandwiches. I wish everyone involved with OTD74 all the best, and love your work. We cant score we cant score we cant score - What did we pay our money for? - So we are out the door at 74 - Because we are not going to take it anymore! I came up with this adaption of Mike's chant after one beer. I just cant remember which beer it was.
  23. Tom: Rocket polisher? Oh, that must have been when I washed Joleon's car
  24. I never thought I would see a double nutmeg, but there you have it. 2nd goal. Like watching tunnel ball.
  25. Is Randy his real name, or a nickname because he likes to f*** sports teams?
