  1. Tuanzebe looks to be adapting to this so fast though. Notice on sunday how he is trying to bring the ball out of defence and get closer to his midfielders .
  2. No but u might be there or thereabouts
  3. I thought he looked quite sharp when he came on. Hamstrings can happen to fellas who have had no real injury problems. It's just unfortunate for lansbury when it's coupled with all the others he has had. We did the right thing to haul him off straight away. Might not be long out at all.
  4. Be great to go into Saturday evenings game against land of the giants on the back of another win against a form team. Sidenote, has the red button coverage improved ? Was only able to watch the Bristol city one on it so far. That was atrocious. It's obvious sky are using some kind of internet feed or something and not their own cameras or production like the main game they will show.
  5. Probably in his last few fights with steward he brought the left hook to his game. Never had one for years. I do apologise, i took the structured fighter term as derogatory..my bad. Wlad was world class in my book. I think you'll see a scenario where fury could tie him up in knots Saturday night on route to a points win. Remember 2 of Fury's hardest fights, as billed by the media going in, were the first chisora fight. Beat him easily. And klitschko. Comfortable too. Has anybody ever really put it on Fury, really ? John McDermott the closest to my mind but fury was a state back then, barely trained.
  6. Don't discount the fact that wilder will find Fury's size alone a bit difficult. He's fought and beat relatively small men like Szpilka, Stiverne and Ortiz. He's never had to punch up to a target before. That's not easy if you aren't used to doing that. "Structured fighter " is a bit unfair. Klitschko was pissing over that division until Fury beat him. Great fight ? No. Great game plan ? Absolutely. Klitschko has dynamite in that right hand. Fury disarmed him. Couldn't throw it once. And then you hear all the nonsense from people after the fight that it was a mental block and wlad couldn't pull the trigger that night . Rubbish. He let the right go plenty against a bigger puncher in Joshua so....Fury never let him get set to plant his feet to throw a power shot. Kept the jab in his face. Moved very well. He's made no secret of the fact that when he sees wilder about to load up sat he'll disrupt him. Fury will win this. 100%.
  7. Not a chance it's Ward. Ok people will say look at Roy Jones, he done it going from light heavyweight to heavyweight but he relied on great hand speed and reflexes to win that fight. Ward fights nothing like Jones. Inside fighting is a big part of Ward's game. He can't fight a HW on the inside as good as he is and i think Andre Ward is the greatest inside fighter I've seen in my lifetime. He'd get beaten up.
  8. Overrated is a bit harsh. I think he's rated just about right. If Garcia stayed at LW and fought lomachenko he would probably be lomachenko's toughest opponent to date. I think Spence beats Garcia but Garcia wins rounds i think.
  9. I'll give u that one but take brook out of it and Spence has a cv that's pretty average to be honest. Garcia has a solid if unspectacular cv. Certainly has a few decent names like Easter and Broner. I don't care how small Garcia is in this fight, if Spence bores in without good fundamentals he could get clipped. Garcia got skills.
  10. Can't agree mate . Mikey Garcia is a class boxer. He loses this fight because he's not big enough.
  11. Looked nasty enough. Think he's out for a bit unfortunately.
  12. Eddie Hearn most likely. They also boo him when he's been interviewed in the ring after fights.
  13. Garcia though is elite and arguably the best opponent in terms of pure talent ( weight aside) that Spence will have faced. I agree with you though that Spence will win but won't be lopsided.
  14. Spence - Garcia officially done. Although the disparity in weight takes the gloss off it slightly it's good to see great fights get made and this won't be as lopsided as people believe. Garcia will have 4 months to do the weight right. He fought and easily beat broner at light welter so he's not a million miles away from welter. However, Spence is a massive welterweight, a career welterweight who really hurts people at this weight. Garcia is probably a technically superior fighter but he'll have to be on point from 1-12. Can't see it.
  15. They are definitely a better team than when they were last at our place. Very rigid 4-4-2. Unusual really in this day and age. They hardly have nobody going away on internationals, good for them. We have loads away. Will help that Smith has a vast knowledge of jota, dean and colin.
  16. I think we haven't even remotely scratched the surface with how we are going to play under Dean Smith. When he gets a few transfer windows i think we could be a serious force. I just hope Smith and Suso are singing off the same hymn sheet 're transfers.
  17. If, like myself, you lot are having a lazy tv day as it's pissing rain here, port vale v sunderland is live on bt. Chance to actually see Clark play instead of reading match reports.
  18. So impressed by this guy. Seen his interview on AVTV after the match and the last line was so refreshing when asked about Birmingham " They play differently to derby so we will have to prepare accordingly " ( paraphrasing slightly, didn't get it word for word but basically that ) Bruce would play on the emotional aspect of derby day to get em fired up . Smith has zero interest in that. Birmingham will be studied in depth and we will train hard and take that into match day . Almost cold and calculated but love it.
  19. Bet the lads don't even wanna head away for internationals now. God we are gonna **** them blues right up.
  20. Nobody has taken derby apart like this all season. Even Chelsea. Statement win this.
  21. What i love about Smith is he'll probably say after this " thought we could be better "
  22. I don't rate bellew. At all. The last few years of his career has just fell right for him. Won a vacant cruiserweight world title against a guy who's best win going in was against a near 50 yo Glenn Johnson. Defended against the awful BJ Flores. And Haye...Christ the fella has been held together with cellotape for years going back to when he pulled out of fighting fury twice. Usyk will destroy him.
  23. And also the same date as our game with Leeds, though I'd be shocked if that stays at 3pm on the 22nd. Think it'll be the friday night game.
  24. Errol Spence - Mikey Garcia close for march 16th. That's a fantastic fight. Spence isn't getting Crawford anytime soon and Thurman is basically a part time boxer at the minute so this is a good fight for him. Yes, Garcia is making a considerable jump from lightweight to welterweight against a huge welter too it has to be said but Garcia is no mug. He's amassed a very good 39-0 record, fought and dismantled the best ( with ease ) in the weight classes he's been in. A very very technically sound fighter. Spence will be favourite going in but i think it will be very competitive.
