  1. I was being smartass... tis a trope as we must only talk about CO2 and evil meat eaters. Population is the driving factor but must not be discussed, least one wants to head into agenda21 land or other smelly places. Or... that is who you will be associated with for pointing out population being a problem. It's obvious that the actual problem is the number of people and the standard of living that they will all, quite reasonable, expect.
  2. Gonna be tough and I imagine they'll have Almiron etc. target Young and the space behind Bailey. Workrate will matter a lot more than in the easy day out against Brentford. It is nice to be excited to see how we'll do rather than the fixture list dread of the past couple of months.
  3. vs all the pro-war in Ukraine stuff that currently dominates discourse...
  4. Naughty boy. You are not supposed to point out the number of people being a problem. It's just not polite.
  5. One definition of fascism has as its foundation, the melding of corporate & state. That ship sailed long ago and both parties are quite happy with it. btw, what religious freedoms have been removed? (certain)Religions are getting more and more exemptions and privileges as the years go by, not less.
  6. In more heartwarming news. The US has decided to abandon the development of a new/updated sea based nuclear deterrent. Though let's see what the bought and paid for in congress make of this... well and it is politically timely. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-scrap-sea-launched-nuclear-missile-despite-military-backing-2022-10-27/ "The decision to cancel the submarine-launched cruise missile could help President Joe Biden address calls from fellow Democrats to scale back America's nuclear arsenal without sacrificing major components of its nuclear "triad" of nuclear-tipped ground-based inter-continental ballistic missiles, nuclear-capable bomber aircraft and submarine-launched nuclear arms. However, it is unclear if Congress, which could come under Republican control after next month's elections, will resist the efforts to scrap it." In small print, they also suggest that nuclear responses to non-nuclear actions are now on the table as part of official US nuclear posture.
  7. He might be... rather than will. A stroke is no small thing. I find it astonishing the amount of stuff that comes out about some of these people after the campaign is underway.
  8. Haha... Biden is amazing. Too bad the dems are keeping him in hiding as much as they can get away with. Which is great given the large number of dems reaction to the Pennsylvania US senate race debate last night, where dem candidate Fetterman shit the bed. That's pretty understandable given he had a stroke only a few months back. Anyway, Dem operatives blaming his campaign for going ahead with the debate, better to have hid his poor physical condition from the electorate. Worked well enough with Biden I suppose. Good enough?
  9. Thanks you good sir! Yay for baby, house/job move. Lots of life.
  10. Ya, that's part of all the weirdness with this. Apparently, it was sent by "accident"/leaked or some such. I'm sure whatever happened will end up making them appear to be all to consistent and in line on this issue.
  11. Got to keep those donors happy. https://www.reuters.com/world/us-congress-progressives-withdraw-letter-urging-negotiations-end-ukraine-war-2022-10-25/ "The U.S. Congressional Progressive Caucus withdrew a letter to the White House urging a negotiated settlement to the war in Ukraine, the group's chairperson, Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal, said on Tuesday." It may have been an old draft and leaked by someone with an agenda, but to think that the only thing the "progressives" can do is run away from it like it's on fire is sad. Bombs away!
  12. They'll have to leave space for a giant royal box for when the King eventually comes by to support his club. God unfortunately will be lucky to get a seat.
  13. At 117 dead via guns in my new home city... yay Columbus Ohio! In better news, that shithead kid who shot up the school in Michigan last year, at least had the good sense to finally plead guilty and avoid a completely meaningless trial. He has dumped mum & dad in it though by stating that the firearm was not secured at home. They are separately on trial as being complicit in some sense (not at all clear how this will go as it is a bit of a test case), and have stated that the gun was in a locked drawer.
  14. Would appear to have the type of qualities and level of seniority that Emery might like to keep around in the interests of maintaining some continuity and easing his transfer into the club.
  15. Gonna have to cut out the mid-game daydreaming now.
  16. It was a little nice to see a stuff 'em w/ takedowns strategy getting a good eyepoke, however.
  17. Surprisingly solid and relatively safe appointment if true. Hope he is able to deflate some of our dressing room bigheads!
  18. I would suggest that all the war talk focus on the drone heavy tactics utilized in the recent conflict in Armenia, so your war fantasies are at least grounded in reality.
  19. Red herring... quite! Pelosi all on the social justice and democracy bandwagon and then providing a direct statement looking out for herself over the people.
  20. Don't blame me. I'm not the one who decided to call these things vaccines and then having to do all sorts of dances when people who have been vaccinated are becoming sick all over the place. So much of all of these issues could have been avoided if those in pharma land decided to call these what they are, instead of re-defining the pre-pandemic meaning of the word vaccine. Anyway, something to note for the next pandemic, as it's of feck all use to argue about it now.
  21. This was in reference to earlier blather about how wonderful and effective the vaccines are.
  22. The massive outbreaks in highly vaccinated locals around the world must be ignored. Instead, let's concentrate on a specific study with a specific population at a specific time in a specific area with specific issues. Then we can all feel better.
  23. Once again, attacking the source and ignoring the content.
  24. Happy?!? That's an interesting interpretation of that post. Given xmas is coming up, seeking out some actual kabuki theatre instead of whatever guff the TV is showing might be an amusing use of your time.
