    No way is this year the worst ever. Last year my wife got diagnosed with bowel cancer and had treatment, chemo etc. Just as her treatment had finished our son needed major heart surgery and went into hospital this time last year, came out on his birthday a week later. This year both have all clears and we have barely set foot in any hospitals, doctors etc. So yeah, 2016 has been the year of recovery and green shoots.
