  1. Look at the XG. That was a pathetic tactical and coaching perfromance. The players fought hard but that's a plus for them, not Gerrard. He has to go. He literally doesn't know what he's doing
  2. Dyche played a certain way at Burnley becasue his budget only allowed him to buy the best possible players to fit that system (Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes for example). He could not afford ball playing players that would be good enough to stay in the premier league. I have no doubt that Dyche with a big budget would buy a different player and play a different way. I'm not advocating for him as our manager, but his track record shows he has strategic and tactical awareness.
  3. Could we see the 9-0 barrier broken? A humiliation would get him out more quickly but I'd be concerned about the impact to the players. Unless of course they downed tools to get rid of the toxic clueless golden boy.
  4. He's going absolutely nowhere I fear. Purslow is wedded to having a billy big balls manager. It's all about prestige, brand and image with that guy. Gerrard is Purslow's favourite ever player. He'll never sack him. If Gerrard goes it will be part of an owner mandated purge and Purslow will go too.
  5. Mother of God this will be the greatest squad to ever get relegated.
  6. A starting championship striker from a promoted team, English and under 25. That's £15m before you even watch him play. Someone actually suggested £6m!?
  7. If I was him I’d literally never wear a shirt
  8. It's so hard to tell if an 18 year old will fulfill their potential that it's really not worth even worrying about.
  9. I'm sorry but if you think a defensive clearance, pass whatever that goes back to the centre, just outside the box isn't a massive mistake then you don't understand football. He's played the ball at a gentle pace to the edge of our box, it's literally under 7s coaching that teaches defenders not to do that. Always clear wide. If it was a pass it's a bigger mistake becasue he mis-hit the pass and it was a dangerous pass to play first time in a defensive situation. No matter what way you spin this it wa s a massive mistake from Mings. I'll defend him when the same people who don't understand football slam him for losing his marker which can be down to good forward play. This was a balls up.
  10. He trod on the ball against Liverpool for their equliser and ballsed up his touch for City's 3rd yesterday. He's outwardly and obviously flapping, just like he always has.
  11. This is why it's important to watch football and not just read stats. I know his "errors leading to goals" stat isn't that bad. But it's not just that it's about momentum and confidence, the fact that we're all waiting for him to tread on the ball or fall over his feet means the players probably are too, and he's our captain. It's hard to measure but compare it how you feel seeing Thiago Silva or Van Dijk. Making it look easy is hard to quantify and it's not to be confused with Mings when he tries to make it look easy, and he just looks casual, then falls over himself. I like the guys attitude and personality but for instance I already trust Chambers more.
  12. To me he seems like a beach foot-volleyball player from Copacabana beach. Like he's all little rolls and flicks and keepy-uppy things but he can't actually run or dribble very well. I think he's best at wearing tiny shorts and drinking caiparihnas.
  13. I think with a manager that joins half way through a season the tendency is to stick with the players who were first choice and make small changes. Whoesale changes come over pre-season and into next season. If Sanson wants to stay and fight and impresses then he has a chance, if he doesn't then f&%k him anyway.
  14. This... mother of god this. Our midfielders are so bad at receiving the ball deep and breaking the first press. This guys seems to excel at that.
  15. It was a pass he intercepted not a shot. The City player next to him was attempting to control it. Why didn't Mings? And if he didn't feel right about controlling it, connect with it and clear it. He did neither.
  16. That touch/clearance/pass in the box that led to the 3rd goal is emblematic of him. Does well to get out in front to the ball but his brain is so far from his feet he goes full baby giraffe and does that.
  17. Really good player. Ye all need to cop yourselves in with the constant calls for him to be dropped /sold. Anyone who knows anything about football loves McGinn.
  18. Lads FFS. You can't just write anything you want into a contract. Clauses all have to be lawful, just because both parties sign doesn't mean what amounts to an actual crime is ok. Think about it, a clause where we get paid additional money if the team we sell a player to wins the league is match fixing. City would be financially rewarding us to throw our 2 games against them. If they then signed 4 players from 4 other clubs on the same terms then they have financially incentivised clubs to throw them 30 points! If that clause existed in a contract both clubs would be relegated or worse.
  19. Mings and Konsa need to be upgraded. There’s no doubt now. Carney is such a baller I just love the way he plays. Virgil might be the best defender I’ve ever seen. He’s absolutely imperious. Without him we win that. Imagine him in there instead of Mings.
  20. Ashley Young when he hears Lucas Digne has a hangnail on the morning of the match
  21. It's like he's capable of breaking the laws of physics. How does he simultaneously manage to leave massive gaps behind fullbacks AND in midfield at the same time? You'd think with 11 players on the field that would be physically impossible. He's managed to create a formation so sh1te, science cannot explain it.
  22. He's technically poor. It's all about his athleticism and his application.
