  1. If a scholar signs a pro contract - assume he no longer counts as a scholar. ?
  2. I didnt see it posted - but apparently Bradley Young was stabbed in Elmdon Park June 1 - assumed now revcovered from non-fatal injuries.
  3. Good news on the upgraded Academy - it is finished to the tune of £14 m. Now for those of you who go watch the games, you have some carparking space ?? North of the main complex
  4. I remember now.... BTW found a new place to locate DOB - Ancestry.com LOLOL No sign of Carney Chukitintothenet ?? Have fair DOB for aall except Sylla Diallo, Mamadou Young, Bradley Jamie Ethan
  5. two namesw missing from the list that are still shown as being with the club on other sites are Aaron Pressley & Carney Chukwuemeka, The former - meh The latter - def bees knees
  6. Brentfords B team dont play in a league - they play all sorts of other teams - some foreign Would make more sense to scrap the U18 - scrapping the U23 would leave an awful lot of players with no games to play This is a list of Brentford B team fixtures as an example https://www.brentfordfc.com/fixtures/brentford-b-fixtures/
  7. Sorry for being late to the thread - but that is the exact player I was thinking about when I pondered ManCity. Jack woiuld be a natural for that position
  8. I think quite rightly that he thought he should perservere with Wes for perhaps longer than he might therwisae have done.
  9. U23 Transfer / Loan news Academy players Jake Walker (Banbury United), Lewis Brunt (Gloucester City), and Ben Guy (Belper Town) have also headed out this window for further experience.
  10. I've never hated any player** , especially one of ours. ** except Ben "I can destroy your cartilage with my bollocks" Mee.
  11. You must remember that we have no youth player over 21 yrs of age - Jack Clarke is the oldest and he is 21 in 3 days. The average age of the side that played Exeter was 19 yr 4 months.
  12. That makes two of us - hope he scores a lot. Not that we want him back - I just want him to have some success. There I've said it
  13. Apparently permanent deal only for CB - £10m - but that would mean he would have to take a pay cut. - from £120k
  14. Hark at Mr Know-it-all, posting from the suicide watch ward at Broadmoor. He is entitled to his opinion, but wonder what prompts him to get out of bed each morning.
  15. Depends if they have a buyer for Kalinic
  16. Exactly - but i just think he is not on our radar Yet.
  17. Ramsey & Wright travelling - Wright has been training with 1st team this week
  18. Let's have a repeat of the game I missed - because I was travelling back from a school trip to the Rhine. Pre-internet of course - learned the score when we got back to Blighty 21/4/1962 Villa 8 Leicester 3
  19. I am a stats nerd - tro the extent I keep my own record of all PL games. I also rank each team on their home record and separately on their away record. This (and a spreadsheet) enables me to compile a "Strength of Schedule" - much like the NFL. I appreciate that it is folly to rely too much on stats - but I will post this anyway - after tonight's matches Hardest remaining Home schedule left: (Hardest first) 1. Leicester 2. Liverpool 3. Brighton 4. Villa Easiest remaining Away Schedule (Easiest first) 1. Tottenham 2. Leicester 3. Brighton 4= Newcastle Palace Villa One would normally expect an easy home schedule to go hand-in-hand with a hard away schedule (i.e. Leicester, Brighton & Villa in above lists) (and vice versa) - but at this stage, it is not looking good for Norwich They have the hardest away schedule - but the 5th hardest home schedule. Similarly, Everton's home AND away schedules are in the top half for difficulty All to play for !!!!! *rubs hands*
  20. At this point in the season (and I know it's not half way yet) We have played only 1 top half team at home We have played only 1 bottom half team away Only the current Top4 have scored more away goals than us (Thank you Norwich)
  21. Sorry - but Man U are hardly a Top 6 club right now. The might be in the minds of SKY - but their place has been taken by Leicester - and a point at VP next weekend will be more of an achievement than today. These comments are what pleases me - from Man U fans
