Not sure if this has been covered but because Sky aren't showing any live Premier League games today, they've made Sky Sports free to all Sky customers for today. If, like me, you're sick of Final Score it's good for Soccer Saturday. Or the Leeds game is on now.

It's unexplainable, but I agree with a lot of you. I'm optimistic that this season we'll be alright and floating around the middle of the table. Talent has come in to the club, most notably in The Rock and then there's the experience we now have. People like Joe Cole, Senderos and Roy Keane won't let the youngsters feel sorry for themselves and go full tilt. They've experienced it all before. The fans are, on the whole, more happy and optimistic. This could be because we know sooner or later, RL will be gone. Or maybe we're just sick of being miserable every Saturday. Hopefully this will come across in the noise from the Holte End which will give the players and coaching staff the atmosphere they need. This is a key season for us. If we do well and finish in the middle, we'll hopefully be sold and have more money next season to continue up the table. If we do back, we've cut it too fine the last few seasons so dare I say it, we'll be relegated. I fully believe in thr former. I think we're gonna do some good! UTV!

Every time he's on the ball I want the Holte end to ring out with a synchronised "Can you smeeeeeeeeellll what The Rock is cooking?!"

Went to see Steer at Doncaster's opening game. Really impressed with him there and a clean sheet. Going to be really good in the future I think.

I have to say. What a signing for the Villa. Did not expect quality like this to come in at the start of the window.

Someone told me we were signing The Rock. That's the kind of no-nonsense guy we need in our midfield, I thought.. I'm not angry. Just disappointed.

I still have faith. He's had a tough ride and I'd like to see him with some funds behind him to show what he can do when he's not being held back. Better home record, better defending and more than anything I wanna see some fight and passion instilled in the players.

This. I think as the season ended we had nothing to talk about except a takeover. Then the wold cup hit and the thread slowed down and now it's pre-season and it's all about what happens on the pitch. If the takeover happens, great, if not, I'll be too caught up in the season to notice.

March if we're clear of the drop zone. I can just see any deal going through towards the end of this season now. Gives about 8 months to iron out fine print, check assets and take their time about a deal. Whoever they may be.

For a top table club with a good budget it's a poor signing. For the Villa and the tenner in our pocket, a great bit of business! Welcome to the suck, KR.
