I can't see him going if we lose tonight. Might just be my pessimism. Randy knows if Paul goes before January, a new gaffer would want/need funds to bring in a team he and the fans want to see. But if it were guaranteed that Paul would get the boot if we lost tonight, I think I'd take that.

We've seen it before. Yes we were much better today during the first half, but it's not changing my view on Paul. We've been here too often now to fall for the "there are signs of improvement line" again. There were signs of improvement two years ago, unfortunately no improvement though. Will a change at the top work? Not a clue, but what is there to lose at this point?

I heard Weimann threw up as he left the pitch for half time. Seems everyone had it. Except Roy. Nothing gets past the beard.

I was optimistic. Not because I have some belief we will be all powerful this season and not lose, but because we have been playing really well and looked good in the first few games. Today we had half a team there from the start. We had plans to field 11 players of which we got 9 out and 2 backups. Delph and Cleverley looked good during the first 20 minutes, but it all fell apart. I can't completely blame the virus for the loss directly but I can blame it for forcing Paul to play players that aren't ready/good enough. In the coming weeks we will hopefully get our squad back, add a pinch of Benteke, and come back fighting. Today for me was frustrating because it felt out of our control so I remain optimistic for the season. It's not every weekend the lads are gonna have a dodgy Jalfrezi.

Just heard Weimann was sick as he left the pitch. Seems the whole squad has been hit.
