  1. With respect to Lee Hendrie, when was the last time he was coached? Time has moved on, we need to move with it.
  2. I thought he was ‘good’. Unfortunately he’s now under such scrutiny each minute he gets that if it is anything less than excellent he’s getting the rough end of the stick.
  3. Do you think we look like a team with their sleeves rolled down? Them not trying doesn’t look like an issue to me.
  4. he’s not a particularly good player, just working in a system that suits him and those around him.
  5. is he injured? 75% Orange Inj icon? Otherwise I can’t fathom how he didn’t get any minutes tonight.
  6. We played how we should play for about 10 minutes while losing. How much of that was instructed or how much was the instinct of the players, I don’t know. The manager search should be starting tomorrow morning.
  7. Davis has to score that. How is their centre back still on the pitch with blood down his face?
  8. Hourihane taking a few pops at goal on this surface could reap rewards too. Hogan has been good, have been watching intently when he’s off the ball and he’s making all the right moves. Need to find him.
  9. Get Hourihane on for Whelan or Jedinak and get some composure into our midfield.
  10. Some really decent scores at half time. Let’s hope they get even better.
  11. Johnstone De Laet Chester broken-Terry Taylor Snodgrass Lansbury Hourihane Adomah Grealish Davis Our squad is ****.
  12. I’d see where we are after the Bristol game, and again at the international break. I’d earmark Paul Clement (not in employment, actually attainable unlike Bielsa, Hiddink and so on ) to come in on short notice. If we’re still somewhat comfortably in the play offs, Bruce stays in order to keep the boat un-rocked. If we get in the play offs, whether we win or lose, then we can seriously look at who could develop a side to produce more sustainable winning football. That list would include Clement but other more ambitious choices and wildcards. If there’s a better option than Bruce available then we take it regardless. I would write up a managerial blacklist including anyone who hasn’t managed for 10 years, ANY managers in the Pulis-Allardyce-Moyes-Pearson-McClaren managerial merrygoround category and by extension anyone stuck in the early 2000s.
  13. Would anyone be interested in Paul Clement?
  14. At least these words removed are finally going to **** off.
  15. nope. An any scoreline match with odds big enough to be 2/1 would be a pretty one sided affair. The most likely outcome would have very low odds with a quid or so profit and that would happen often enough to outweigh any shock results over a couple of matches. edit: you can play odds from different betting companies against each other to minimise the losses and reduce the ‘house advantage’ as it were
  16. Uh oh, I see where this thread is going. Burnley might as well make a bid now to save us all the trouble.

  19. surely that’s no quicker than a coach?
  20. Just totally the wrong team for him. He’ll score when the team is built to play for him, and won’t if it isn’t.
  21. He should have done better for both. Having said that, they were ‘fundamentally’ Jedinak’s fault.
  22. If he can’t pick the pass then he moves it on and keeps the ball in the final third or wins a foul. We saw more of the latter two today but he’s the most effective forward we have, if often indirectly. Of any player today he deserves the least criticism.
