    they’re clearly trying to offend, the barbie has a POWER tshirt on. It’s not surprising that people are, why does that make them morons? Most seem to be pointing out how inappropriate the tone is for a family store anyway.

    i’d have said so yeah. It’s the connotations of “blacking up” and making the colour a part of the joke that’s the problem.

    His shtick is to get results over anything else. Problem with that is when the results don’t come there’s nothing to hang your hat on. From the way we play, when we go into a game after a loss there’s nothing that makes you think “bad game but we’re a good side and will win this one”. It feels like “can we nick a win here even if we don’t play well”. That’s never the hallmark of a team trying to win the league. If we don’t get a win to shut us upx it’s VERY easy as a fan to look at the actual football Bruce sets us up to play and say this isn’t going to be successful long term.

    I think it's possibly seeing more drive to succeed at Villa, more consistent willingness on the pitch to get stuck in and more general spark and liveliness. The sort of intangibles you can count upon rather than hoping the good Onomah turns up.
