  1. it isn't going to happen so calm down and go have a lie down somewhere. I am quite calm, thanks.
  2. Guzan Hutton Senderos Baker Richardson N Zogbia El Ahmadi Westwood Cole Bent Bendtner The potential of lining up like this makes me feel a little bit sick.
  3. It is quite difficult to get the head around, Gerrard, Henderson, Johnson, Sturridge and Sterling all played regularly in the side that finished second in "the best league in the world" TM, Hart and Milner won the league, Cahill played a huge part in Chelsea's challenge, and Baines, Barkley, Lallana and Shaw have been lauded all season. They should be better than average players. Maybe the Premier League isn't as strong as it's made out to be. Actually, should milner have been given more of a role?
  4. I'm not for sacking him particularly, however that squad picked itself. I can't imagine any fans squad would be vastly different, or the players that started the games (some may have started Lallana, Barkley or Ox instead of the shocking Welbeck). Is there any players sat at home that we could have brought in that would have made the difference? The part an international manager should be getting right is the tactics and motivation as you're stuck with the players you have, as we've seen with Chile, Costa Rica, USA, Ghana vs Germany, Mexico v Brazil, even Iran almost nicking a point against Argentina you don't have to have the best squad man to man to get results.
  5. Just because it won't happen again doesn't mean it never happened. Do you believe in Jeebus too? If I didn't know anyone involved I wouldn't believe it either.
  6. Just because it won't happen again doesn't mean it never happened.
  7. Don't know how many times i have to say this but i don't understand why anyone thinks we could sign these two. it keeps cropping up in peoples teams for next season or lists of players who we should sign. They have better offers, we couldn't sign them if we tried. We really need to forget about them and Milner coming back because it's not going to happen any time soon.
  8. never a fan of macron kits before, the home kits have always looked a little cheap and overcluttered but that is absolutely wonderful. Only a tonal badge could make it better - make that a tonal circular badge!!
  9. I thought he was one of our centre forwards.
  10. If it's true that he only wants £45k we'd be fools not to go for Lescott on a free transfer. Would be a really solid signing in a vitally important position and the cost to the club would be relatively little. By most account that's less than Gabby is on and similar to Delph and Lescott is a more established player, and a Villa fan to boot. I doubt Lescott will come as wasn't he warned stay away from West Midlands when he had his kneecaps shattered by members of Johnson Brothers gang along with Matt Murray.. He left as soon as he could play again to Everton. Couple my Wolves supporting mates have said ''Been warned to stay away from West Midlands'' for good. Internet Myth wouldn't be so sure about that. anyway, Lescott will probably go abroad, and Barry has a good offer from Everton. There's nothing we could offer him more than he can get there in terms of contract length primarily and £ so everyone really needs to get the idea out of their heads that he will be coming back now.
  11. Barry will not be coming back.
  12. Could also be (hopefully not) you're just fed up of losing cash in an asset and don't want to spend anymore money on it. When you've lost £150m what's another £10m. £10m is worth a lot more to you after you've lost £150m than before.
  13. Not sure if i'm one of the intended targets for this, but:- I made a massive effort to distance myself from being an architypal 'ITK'er I got told by a very reliable source, who has no reason at all to lie that Ellison is/was interested. Straight from the mouth of someone close to him within his organisation. I made an effort to say that this didn't mean he was about to buy us, and as we all know, many things can happen i.e. Changes his mind, Crossed wires, it derived from 'hearsay', however still thought it worth posting as it was of interest to Villa fans and ok, I got excited by it. Anyway, I think we owe some gratitude to Lerner, he tried, we nearly succeeded (first 2/3 years), we failed (regrettably), he hasn't done anything to disrespect the club, or meddled with our traditions. IMO we were luck to have had him. Fingers crossed for the future, and it could still be Ellison. Exactly, and has been gracious through some disgusting abuse. He tried to fund us back to the top while restructuring and modernising the club, but we fell short on the pitch and had to take a hit on some poor player investments. He went through a divorce and has been preparing the club for a sale to the right person ever since, while still ensuring we stay in the league. Some poor decisions combined with bad luck has lead us to our current situation. I can't for one second accept that Randy has tried to do anything but improve the club. The sort of personal abuse and '**** off Lerner **** off Lambert' type comments are embarrising to us as fans, just like grown men getting worked up that players are having a bottle of beer on the way home from a very tough season. I'm aware this is the same for every football club in the country, but it staggers me how some people can be so detached from the real world. The same goes with the notion that all the 'ITK' are wrong because of the statement. What is this obsession with trying to prove that people are wrong and seeking attention? They have heard a little bit of information that is exciting to them as a villa fan and are letting other people into what they have heard. Some of it will be slightly off the mark, but on the most part the jist of what has been claimed has been true. Don't see why this is something to berate them about.
  14. Why do you say this? Believe he has a better offer elsewhere. I think he's enjoyed it at Villa but he could be at a higher level.
  15. Unfortunately we shouldn't hold our breath for a permanent deal.
  16. LOL - yeah looks like we're all over them! No one said that, but if you'd been watching the game they've had some very awkward balls flashing across the 6 yard box to deal with
  17. Still very lucky not to be behind imo true, one or two worrying moments but we also could have sneaked one of Albrighton or Bertrand's crosses in, their delivery has been dangerous so far. Hope we can get the ball to stick in their half a bit this half, I think Gabby needs to do more.
  18. Their passing is mostly around the back four, they've not been particularly penetrating with their possession.
  19. KEA is maybe 5'9, there's nothing to him at all. Player height and weight stats are dubious at best!
  20. Hello VT, Long time reader first time poster. I'm joining up as I sometimes might have interesting info on the playing staff to share - I'm not claiming to be ITK, more 'lurking around the borders of the know'. I'd also like to occasionally offer my blind support for the players and manager even when I can see their obvious flaws. UTV.
