    Haha, I get it. On the other hand, James Milner is still a very good footballer and ran the most distance of any player in the league at the weekend at the age of 35. I understand it might be a tough sell to him and Liverpool though.

    The West Ham penalty was a bad call, but overall from what I saw at the weekend the officiating was FAR better. Looked like referees were back in control of the game and not officiating by proxy. The only downside was that it gave Mike Dean his mojo back.

    So? At that point in time it was 2-1 and they were being battered. Newcastle being Newcastle doesn’t change that. All that should tell you is to not write anyone off, especially 15 minutes into a match.

    The strong, tough, tall midfield pairing of Rice and Soucek being ‘overrun’ by a centre midfield with Almiron in it. It’s almost like matches in isolation shouldn’t be used to judge a side or players.
