I never slated or mentioned Mcginn. I just suggested Will Hughes could be good value because the commentator yesterday said he was training with the U23’s as he rejected a contract and less than a year left. Thought he was a good player the year they went down. Maybe good value squad player. I thought this was a summer transfer window page and where we held such discussions.

Avoiding coming in here due to negativity, but it’s true we do seem to get over run in the middle of midfield. I noticed that Will Hughes wasn’t in there squad yesterday, he rejected a new contract and only has a year left he looked good for them the last couple of years.

Sometimes at that stage of people’s life, things can happen unexpectedly. personally I hope it’s not that but it could be something along those lines let’s not jump to conclusions. Wish him the best. We’re more than covered in the coaching department I really wouldn’t worry about it.

Have to agree with your post. I think him being on the bench will squash any confidence he has and Anwar with no confidence is not going to be an asset. I also think he’s one of those players that benefited from playing with no crowd and with crowds back I think he’d struggle more and play with less confidence and worried about making a mistake and losing the ball and the crowd getting in to him. Been a good player for us in spells, some important goals and has been an overall success but simply think we’d be better to cash in on him now.

Rice is a DCM so they do but I don’t really want to see us looking up to West Ham

Never really got excited about this one. Fairly good player, good at set pieces but so is Conor. Think we should be aiming higher. Steve Sidwell kind of signing if it happens.
