    It’s really difficult looking at the teams in the league next year it’s really hard to predict who will struggle? Newcastle will probably be on a downer now and bruce doesn’t seem to do well second season, Sheffield United might have second season syndrome, they play off team whoever that will be will obviously be the favourites to go down but the league looks more competitive. It will be harder that’s for sure but we will have more experience.

    I really don’t know what you’ve been watching. Been a great little player this season. Breaks up play well. Yes his passing is a little wayward sometimes but I’d keep him next year he definitely will be useful in some games where we need a midfield battler.

    He deserves no criticism at all. His goals have kept us up make no mistake about that. Also he runs his socks off his effort is there for all too see, he may not be the best player to ever pull on a Villa shirt but his effort is great and I will never knock him for that. He’s still young on top of that in his first season with us, in England and the premier league. Guy deserves a break.

    He could stay he could go. He’s just kept us up. It’s a discussion for another day. Let’s just enjoy it and be thankful we have him.

    Do we leave Samatta on? He’s on a booking but more likely to score than Davies? Or bring on Davies to hold it up? But he won’t score if he gets a chance? Difficult decision

    He definitely will be I put him as my dream team captain this week! But seriously hasn’t he got a chance of getting the golden boot? So I think he will play and score a couple hopefully. Arteta also spoke midweek about fielding a strong team out because teams are involved in a relegation battle and it’s fair so hopefully he does that.

    Did read that too. He wanted to go back to Milan and see out his contract. That was when he wasn’t starting and having a bit of a rough patch pre lockdown. May of changed his tune if he’s enjoyed the last few games, would of thought at his age he’d be wanting to play as much football as possible while he still can, would probably need assurances we won’t be involved down the bottom again though...

    Yeah I know that but I was referring to the form team of the three in the relegation battle. I can see us picking up a result but even if we don’t I just don’t see Watford or Bournemouth bettering our results.

    Anyone else not nervous? We are in the best position, we are the most in form team, we have the easiest fixture, we have the best goal difference, we have the best individual player... I could go on, we have played well since restart, I see no reason for that not to continue, I’m only disappointed we haven’t played to this standard and capability throughout the rest of the season. relax everyone and enjoy the game.

    Yeah agree completely, and when it does happen let’s all remember he could of done the same and left the year we went down but he stayed and single handily pulled us back into the premier league and hopefully has kept us there. He is going to be extremely hard to replace but Aston Villa will still be Aston Villa.

    Not a chance. He’s 24 nearly 25. He needs to move on. He can’t waste another season in a relegation battle.

    Yeah don’t count your chickens! Forest needed to avoid defeat and Swansea to over come a 5 goal swing. Forest are now not in the play offs. Swansea won 4-1 and forest lost. Sunday will be full of twists and turns that’s for sure.

    He’s off. Can’t blame him. He’s a gem and he’s done nothing but good for us. He carried us at such a young age, dragged us back to the premier league almost single handily. Just happy we are hopefully staying in the premier league and we can get too draw money for him, because replacing him is going to be so hard and next season even tougher without him.

    Build him a statue! If we stay up it’s because of him. Effort beats talent when talent doesn’t work.
