  1. These films are really starting to lose steam now, progressively getting more mediocre by the film. All this world building for different phases has taken priority over making a solid individual film.
  2. Disney didn't pay billions for Marvel just to stop at End Game...
  3. It really depends if you think celebrities and public figures are held to higher standards than normal people. If someone did that between mates on a golf course its a funny and maybe slightly offensive gesture. Is it the TV cameras that make it an issue based on who can see it?
  4. Thanks once again for your simple yet in depth analysis throughout this whole thing, much appreciated.
  5. It’s a farce as an actual boxing fight but you can’t deny there is interest in it, whoever wins it’s hilarious and could end the career of either if it’s a bad loss.
  6. Not sure if it was the game plan but we stood off them too much today, they were able to hold onto the ball and dance through us far too easily, that was our biggest failing today. Overall we played ok but nobody was great really, Arsenal just play with more confidence and without the mental baggage. Struggling to see where the next 3 points are coming from now, that defeat today just adds to the mental baggage and I fear it could affect our next few games if we don’t get a comfortable win soon.
  7. I wont be paying but i will certainly be watching. Have more interest in this than most boxing fights over the last 2 years. UFC is better in almost every aspect at the moment.
  8. Almost a year after this war started its hard to imagine anyone on the Russian side thinking this was a success by any measure.
  9. I think most of us did but were possibly blinded by the form under the new manager. It was never going to last unfortunately. With or without Emery this team isn't quite top half for me.
  10. Regardless of who you are playing, conceding 7 goals in 2 games is not good. This was never a winnable game really so to win the 2nd half after that awful first is about the most positive thing you can take from it. Well probably lose against Arsenal and that’s 3 in a row and you start to realize the team is not good enough for a top half finish.
  11. Neville more or less said yeah it’s a dive but what can we do…. I don’t know, maybe not give a pen?!
  12. What chance have you got in City’s backyard when we haven’t got a single player above a 5/10 performance. I hate to single out Ramsey but is he even playing?
  13. This really wasn’t the game for Chambers to make a surprise appearance.
  14. Exactly! Losing this game will be annoying but drawing sweeping conclusions from it is ridiculous.
  15. Sometimes you look at 2 fighters at the end and think one guy won that…. Volk basically neutralized most of the ground game but Islam was better stood up than most would have thought. Very close fight and can’t complain about 2 of the scorecards, the wide one though . Great fight in the end though, not sure it’s worth taking a rematch because you can only see it going the same way, he’ll take any close rounds and then almost certainly take a round by just holding onto his back, seems like you get the round regardless of whether you actually do any work, it’s wrong for me.
  16. My point being that the honey moon period may well be perceived as over and then we'll see where we really stand. In my opinion the results since Emery took over are beyond what we should expect over the course of a season so we may start to see that balance itself out in the coming weeks and i hope everyone stays onside.
  17. All i hope is that we go down fighting. We've already took a point off them this season and Mings kept Haaland very quiet so who knows... Lose 3 pr 4 nil and the early good will is starting to fade already after that Leicester result.
  18. Not sure what the standard of football is like over there but the keeper was awful for all 3 open play goals there.
  19. I completely see where PussEKatt is coming from, relative to South America or somewhere like the Philippines our prisoners are living in luxury, maybe too much for some people but all it does it perpetuate the cycle of violence in these countries which then spills out into wider society.
  20. Certainly looks like him. Cant imagine they can do this justice in 2023 to be honest, a film that was very much of its time.
  21. I had other plans thankfully on Saturday so was only able to check the score periodically. Teams like villa will lose these types of games, you really can’t take too much from it. We all knew that a couple of big signings were needed to continue the form and keep up the good will feeling. Lose heavy against Man City and you’ll feel like the honeymoon period is over and we’ll see where we really are at with the team. I suspect 11 or 12th place come the end of the season. We’re still 2 quality players away from the top half of the table with or without Emery.
  22. I would have thought that a team pressing very high is what you want when playing out from the back because you are going to expose them at the back if you manage to play through it.
  23. You can make the punishment as severe as you want but it’s not going to resolve the root cause of the problem. Similar problem to the war on drugs, it’s unwinnable and making the punishments even more severe doesn’t really solve anything, you could argue it makes things worse because people who are willing to speak up and admit they have a problem become even more reluctant to do so.
  24. Started to get excited about the season now. 2-3 weeks to Drive to survive and then first testing Last year was a bit of a damp squib compared to the previous. Hoping this is a better year and its a lot closer. Early predictions are that Ferrari drop away slightly, Merc improve to take their spot and Red Bull are still the team to beat. Hoping someone in the midfield takes a step forward but struggling to see who it is. Alpine to be the best of rest this year. Russell to beat Hamilton again this year as well.
  25. Exactly. They might be protecting the transfer fee value but like you say, if it doesn't work out after a year and they have an attitude problem (where's the motivation to perform every week) you've got a 200 grand a week problem on your hands for 7 years.
