If it had to be done in such a sadistic way, then I don't think it needed being shown so explicitly to the audience. I think it was pandering to a darker side of people's nature that is uncalled for, and a pretty cheap trick to get a response from the audience. But it's unsurprisng as the show has done it in the past. I didn't like the way Cersei was echoing the phrase 'repent' either, just seemed wrong.

I was going to suggest Unai Emery, don't know much about him but seems good at tournament football. But seems he might be off to Paris Saint-Germain.

I think the best option would be the Tottenham manager, but can't see him leaving club football, unless he'd agree to do it part-time. As previously stated my best guess is that the FA will go for Pellegrini.

I don't think Bilic would want the England job, mainly because he's been there already with Croatia, but I think people overrate the status of West Ham as a club.

I thought the scene with the Nun and the Mountain was unnecessary, and didn't speak well of the program maker's opinion of the audience. Cersei getting her revenge is fine, but I don't think it needed to be done in such a sadistic way, at least not for the benefit of the audience.

I'm going to say something that's maybe a little controversial, in the current mood. But I think that England were pretty good until last night (when they were diabolical). With the right manager, making the right tactical choices and team selections, then I think the current crop of players can do well. I think what let them down last night was lack of mental strength, when they went behind, and poor decision making from the manager.

England playing Iceland is nothing like United playing Barnet. Yes England would be favourites and should have enough quality to win, but Iceland qualified for this tournament from a group including The Netherlands, Czech Republic and Turkey (all of which they beat). And to get to the knockout stages, they finished above Portugal. Iceland aren't that bad of a team.

The petition for another referendum, that got millions of signatures, was actually started by a brexit supporter from Telford, a few weeks ago, because he thought that they were going to lose. Story about it in Shropshire Star.

Trevor Brooking will probably be doing the rounds tomorrow, talking about how England need to change from the grassroots upwards. That's what seems to happen after every international tournament.
