  1. Expected to complete the move later today.
  2. Staam wanted him to stay but Tshibola, had his heart set on leaving.
  3. Leave it up to Petrov, Di Matteo and the rest of the team to make the correct decision. Whether we on here think he should have place in the squad or not, next season, is neither here nor there.
  4. The only way I could see us signing Pogba at this moment in time, is if we signed him and then loaned him to someone like PSG, until we return to the Premier league. The idea of him playing in the Championship isn't exactly delusional, but it is perhaps (well almost most definitely) wishful thinking.
  5. He's still young let him keep learning his trade at a great club, and in a few years time we might be able to go back for him, not at the moment though. Not even if we were in the Premier, would we have a chance.
  6. Pogba isn't a realistic target for the time being. He'll probably end up somewhere like Barcelona.
  7. Is going to play in the second half, in today's friendly game.
  8. Club would do well to scout my posts on here for advice. There's a good chance we'd be a Premier team now, if they had have done, nothing hilarious about that.
  9. We've already spent about thirteen million without selling anyone.
  10. Pete O'Rourke )Sky Prsenter ( saying that we've singed Tshibola.
  11. I'll have to give it a listen, i tried the devils's staircase and Galam Borong albeit only on youtube, and quite liked them.
  12. After what Xia has said and even Wyness to some extent, i don't think it's too delusional to speculate on players (within reason) who might otherwise be seen as too good for the Championship. I don't think we'll sign him for several reasons but would anyone really be that surprised if Berahino signed for Newcastle. I would initially but not too much.
  13. I hadn't quite finished my sentence. I was going to add that, then they must have someone better lined-up, I think we'll end up signing a striker who will be seen as a coup, for a Championship club. Probably not Berahino, but someone with a good reputation.
  14. If it's true that the club aren't interested in Bramford and McCormack.
  15. According to the Birmingham Mail, the board have passed the proper persons test and are going to announced soon. Wyness will be CEO, Samuelson and Andrew Obolensky will be directors, advising Xia.
  16. But it does make sense, It was a poor signing and Bowery turned out to be not very good but, some signings do turn out to be not very good, especially at clubs with limited budgets, where sometimes they have to take a chance, on an unknown quantity. If he was rubbish and Lambert kept playing him, then I could understand laying the blame at Lambert's door, but he was hardly used.
  17. I wouldn't be hilariously out of my depth. And there would be a difference between taking a chance on lower league player and some random person. Lambert signed him and he turned out to be a not very good signing, as happens at all clubs, more so at clubs who conduct their transfer dealings on a limited budget. Bowery being a poor player has nothing to do with Lambert's managerial ability.
  18. I know people don't like Lambert but blaming him for Bowery not being good enough is just foolish. That would be like giving Lambert all the credit for how good Benteke was and not giving any credit to Benteke himself.
  19. I think XIa is just a bit naive about football at the moment, I've seen it mentioned in a few other places that Gollini is being tipped as future Italian international, I think he's just excitedly parroting that kind of talk. At least it shows he cares somewhat.
  20. Bowery not being good enough is Bowery's fault not Lambert's. He wasn't a good signing by PL, but as I said, when your on a limited budget your bound to make a few bad signings.
  21. Sentence quoted isn't 'a complete load of tosh', since Bowery wasn't a very good player whilst at Villa and that was not Lambert's fault. I never said anything about his time at other clubs or claimed that he was ever a good player, not sure why I would, as that would rather contradict the point I made in my last sentence.
  22. Xia gives his opinion ' Gollini will be one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has the ability to emulate Buffon in the future. He will be one of the key players in Aston Villa's defensive line with Tommy Elphick. ' Birmingham Mail
  23. We were only in the relegation places on goal difference, and we hadn't been there all season. Lambert dropped Benteke which at the time I couldn't understand, but looking back it was probably what Benteke needed and in part is what made him come back a stronger player. I think with either Sherwood or Lambert we would have survived, thanks in the main to Benteke. Bowery wasn't a very good player whilst at Villa, but that's hardly Lambert's fault. Unfortunately if your budget is as limited as ours was over the recent years then a few duds are inevitable.
  24. Birmingham Mail, yesterday were saying that we were going to wait for the Premier clubs to do business and then see what's available in terms of strikers. But then again they are the same outlet who claimed that we're after Bamford. Which if Pat Murphy is to be believed isn't the case.
  25. I think Urban planning is his main thing and might be where's he made most of his money. That's certainly what a lot of his weibo posts and the Recon site seem to be about.
