  1. They will be relegated this weekend, if they lose, Sheffield Wednesday, and Plymouth win, and Blackburn get at least draw
  2. Archer starting against Manchester United
  3. useless

    Liverpool

Slot maybe not the kind of high profile manager one would expect them to bring into replace Klopp, but they maybe have two things in mind, one he might not be a big name, but perhaps has the potential to become a very good manager for them, but if not he can serve as a sort of stop-gap until someone like Alonso or whoever becomes available. Probably better to do it that way, than just appoint some name manager such as Tuchel or Mourinho for the sake of it
  4. I think there's a lesson somewhere, not to judge attacking players soley on goals and assists, although as it happens Rogers stats for Middlesbrough in that regard were decent enough, he has nine goals and ten assists this season, seven of those goals and nine of those assists were for Boro, but he was also doing well in other regards, he was the top player in the Championship for increasing his team's chance of scoring, amongst other things, I think it was said he was also very good defensively You only have to look at this highlights of his time at MIddlesbrough to see an indication that some of the good play he's been showing for us he was already showing for them
  5. £15m wasn't actually that cheap for Rogers but it would have been more if we had have waited until the summer, for contrary to some comments he was actually doing very well for MIddlesbrough and his price would have shot up come the summer and there would be more competition for his signature by then, we just got in there early because we recognized he was suddenly living up to his earlier potential and he fitted the criteria of what Emery was looking for as himself recently stated, that is a player with similar attributes to Ramsey If we waited until summer and Rogers had have carried on the way he was, would probably be talking £20m plus and a big chunk of that wouldn't be add ons as it reportedly is with the deal we've got Middlesbrough did well out of it, they paid £1m for him in the summer, then months later they get £15m, for them was probably too good of an offer to do turn down, and, they needed the money They also got Azaz for what some deemed a very good price, and we had previously helped them with Ramsey and Archer, and I wouldn't be surprised to see similar happen in the future
  6. Crowley has actually done well this season, ten goals and fifteen assists, I think the athletic did some sort of feature on lower league talents and mentioned him as someone who might get a move further up the pyramid.
  7. Edit: Easier to post link, Carla Ward talking about budget when asked how we progress from being a midtable team, plans have been submitted for next season, now waiting to see if the decision makers back those plans
  8. Chelsea were never as good as the hype after their win over Everton suggested, but also they're not as bad as their defeat to Arsenal suggests. All we need to know is that on their day they can be decent, and as such we need to be wary, less talented teams than them have taken points of us If we're not at our best they're more than capable of beating us, but if we play as well as we can do then we will have an excellent chance
  9. useless

    Louie Barry

He will probably go out on loan again, or get sold with a buyback, but what Emery and his coaches make of him will determine the precise details of such a move
  10. useless

    Louie Barry

Says he's going to miss the Stockport team holiday because he's coming back to our first team, good that Emery and his coaching staff are going to take a look
  11. I don't know how reliable but some reports suggesting that some clubs in Mexico want Lehmann and have already started negotiations
  12. We've signed a young goalkeeper called Jack Allan, he was at Portsmouth but they didn't offer him a scholarship for next season, we did after giving him a three week trial.
  13. U14s beat Middlesbrough 6-1 at the weekend to reach Albert Phelan final
  14. Sheffield United Chief Exec apparently confirmed that Archerr is coming back to help with their finances, but also hinted that there might be a possibility of him going back there in the long term, presumably means if they sell some other players that might be able to buy him again, if not doesn't really matter as someone else will buy him. Also not sure I agree he's not good enough for the Premier League, if you look closely at his stats they're not too bad considering he's been playing in one of the worst PL teams ever, he might not be good enough but I don't think it's confirmed eithe way yet. He's not playing as much since the new year as Wilder knows he's leaving in the summer, which he's alluded to a number of times in his press conferences. I think we will get a good fee for him, either from Championshp team with a lot of money to spend and looking to get promoted, or a newly promoted team
  15. He's meant to be good, was surprised when he went to Rangers from Millwall, as presumed he would go to one of the cateogry 1 clubs in England, he was already in England age group youth teams, so would have been well known. I think he's a striker. Edit: he's actually already got some minutes in the Championship and Scottish Premier League, he was only fifteen when he made his Millwall debut
  16. Leeds third shouldn't have needed VAR as he was clearly offside, bad mistake from the officials, MIddlesbrough not doing themselves any favors with their defending though. Bamford stood on Azaz's ankle, as the commentary said hopefully that was accidental
  17. We've had a few players from Craig Butler's Phoenix Academy training with the U21s, Robino Gordon, Dante Peralto and Denzel McKenzie
  18. In the last four games Chelsea have failed to beat both Burnley and Sheffield United, they lost leads in both games, Burnley were down to ten men for a large portion of the game too, they needed injury time goals to beat Manchester United, both teams were as bad as each other in that game defensively, and they weren't even that great against Everton, Palmer aside, that was more about how poor Everton were.
  19. I really don't think the West Ham squad is very great, a well regarded manager would be risking their repuation by taking that job unless there's scope to rebuild big time, Moyes got them doning well as the players suit his old fashioined rugged tactics, similar to Howe at Newcastle. Although Lopetegui has apparently been waiting for PL job after turning down Saudi offer, so maybe he would take it, again if he can spend, as saw what happened at Wolves when he wasn't able to at Wolves They've also been linked with Tuchel. If Newcastle sack Howe he would probably be a good fit for West Ham squad and seems the type their owners like, having appointed Bruce, McLeish, Allardyce, and Moyes twice in their time.
  20. We're also getting Archer back, as we have an obligation to buy him for £9m if Sheffield United are relegated, effectively meaning it was a loan move.
  21. If we're buying a new right-back I doubt we will keep Kesler, even if Cash is sold, because we will have new first choice right-back plus Kosta Nedeljković, which is enough as it is, and in addition to those we have Triston Rowe who is one of the most highly rated and consistent performers in our academy, he will probably take Kesler's place as the youth option in the squad. But Kesler still got good potential so we should definitely put buy-back option in any sale
  22. It's likely true as Evans reported it just before The Athletic did a big interview with Wyness and they reported it again as fact in that Wyness article
